Snotgut chathead
Snotgut reading chathead

Snotgut is a goblin in charge of The Pit distraction and diversion, along with Scrambles the werewolf. Being a goblin, he is not very bright and, when trying to make jokes, which he often does, usually fails, to the great irritation of his partner. However, he claims himself to be smart, supporting that with the argument that he reads, although Scrambles comments that "reading is not the same as eating". Nevertheless, he can often be found looking at papers, supposedly reading them. He likes to do the numbers puzzles found in the newspaper, and becomes agitated whenever the newspaper goes missing, blaming humans for the theft.

Notable is that Snotgut was the first goblin to have received a graphical update.

The inspiration for Snotgut came from Generals Bentnoze and Wartface arguing and shouting at Grubfoot.

Trivia

  • If the player wins Scrambles and Snotgut's game while visiting The Pit, in the room with the door and gambling box one of Snotgut's comments is, "Stay a while. Stay forever!" This is a reference to the starting quote from the game "Impossible Mission" which was popular in the 1980's on personal computers such as the Commodore 64.
