Snakeskin detail

Snakeskin is used in the Crafting skill to make snakeskin armour. It can be created by giving a snake hide and 15 coins, or Snake hide (swamp) and 20 coins to a tanner. Tanners can be found in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Varrock, Taverley, Prifddinas, Canifis and the Crafting Guild. Snakeskins are also used to make tribal masks into Broodoo shields. All players can make snakeskins into items of snakeskin armour, as shown on the table below, if they have a needle and thread.

Snake hides are dropped by bush snakes on Karamja during the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame. Three snakes with combat level 10 can be found on Mos Le'Harmless, although they are poisonous. This is very good for money if you go to the Trouble Brewing deposit bank and kill the snakes there, since there are no jungle horrors in the area. The only thing you need to worry about is the poison, which can be negated with an antipoison potion or Anti-poison totem.

Swamp snake hides are dropped from the swamp snakes during Temple Trekking/Burgh de Rott Ramble. Just simply click to skin the dead swamp snake (which the snake becomes when killed) to get 2 to 5 hides.
