Effect	Drains enemy's prayer by 1/4 damage dealt.

Smite was the highest level prayer until the July 2007 introduction of Chivalry and Piety. When active, attacking another player will cause 1/4 of the damage done to be drained from their Prayer Skill. Smite was a popular prayer among player killers because it was used to prevent their opponent from using the Protect Items prayer, as well as protection prayers.

• Sometimes, during the Pay to Pk Riot (and similar riots), higher-levelled players would use this prayer to show they support Jagex, while rioters would use the Retribution prayer to show they don't support Jagex.
• Shortly after the prayer update on 25 March 2009, free players could use this prayer. The glitch is now fixed.
• Players in the Stealing Creation waiting area will often line up against the barrier and use this prayer to show their team.
