The Ring of slaying (or Slayer ring) can be used to teleport players to four Slayer destinations and to contact Slayer Masters.

Players obtain the ring from slayer masters using Slayer reward points, which players earn by completing multiple slayer tasks. Players can purchase actual rings, at a cost of 75 points per ring, and can purchase the knowledge of how to craft the rings, at a one-time cost of 300 points. Crafting a ring requires level 75 crafting, an Enchanted gem (which can be purchased for one coin from a slayer master), a Gold bar, and a Ring mould. Players must have the items in their inventories and use the gold bar on a Furnace to make the ring. Making a ring yields 15 crafting experience, the same as an ordinary gold ring. The slayer ring can also be crafted by low-level crafters through the Assist System, if a willing high-level crafter can be found (you still need to buy the 300-point knowledge from a slayer master, even if you are using the assist system!).

The ring has eight charges. A charge can be used to teleport a player to:

• The Morytania Slayer Tower, arriving outside the front door of the tower.

• The Fremennik Slayer Dungeon (called the "Rellekka Slayer Caves" by the ring), arriving outside the dungeon entrance.

• The Lair of Tarn Razorlor (called "Tarn's Lair" by the ring), arriving in the chamber before the lair, next to the passageway leading to the lair.

• Sumona in Pollnivneach, arriving next to Sumona's house. (The ring does not teleport directly to the Desert Slayer Dungeon, as some players believe. The entrance to the dungeon can be found at the well just south of Sumona.)

After the ring's eight charges are used up, a text in your chat box will turn up saying, "The ring collapses into a Slayer gem, which you stow in your pack."

The ring can be used to contact slayer masters similar to how an enchanted gem works, with the addition that players can also find out how many slayer points they have. Use of the ring in this manner does not use up a charge.

In addition, the teleport to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon is notable as the closest teleport to a Fairy ring, beating the Amulet of glory's teleport to Edgeville by a significant margin.

It may also be notable to get to the God Wars Dungeon by teleporting to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon and walking from there, through the Troll Stronghold, to the God Wars Dungeon. This is useful for players on the Ancient Magick's spellbook or the Lunar Spellbook who do not have 96 Magic for spellbook swap (92 with boost).
