Slash Bash is a zogre encountered during the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. He uses both melee and ranged attacks. He is very difficult as he can drain Prayer points and switch between devastating range and powerful melee. However, it is possible to use mage or ranged from behind the stand or a stack of bones, and then he can only damage the player using ranged.
As with other zogres, brutal arrows are his weakness. Other weapons and ammo will have their damage reduced by 75% (for example, up to 50 if a player normally hits up to 200).
Taking more than 5 minutes will result in Slash Bash disappearing in a puff of smoke and a message stating "The huge Slash Bash grows weary of your feeble attempts at combat and awaits a true challenge."
Zogre Flesh EatersEdit
Slash Bash has a minor but important role in the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. When the Ogres find out that the zogre curse is irreversible, they decide to make their sacred burial ground in another spot. However for it to be sacred, the hero must retrieve the ancient sacred artefact that was left behind in the Zogre Caves. When the hero tries to take the artefact, Slash Bash enters and attacks him/her, only to be slain by the hero.
Slash Bash inhabits the deepest part of the Zogre Caves underneath Jiggig, the ancient chamber, a locked room where the ancient sacred artefact is kept. The room is beyond the two stone doors, and down a set of stairs; it contains several other Zogres and Skogres.

- It was suggested in the 39th Postbag from the Hedge that Slash Bash could be an undead ourg, a long dead species with only two currently living members, or just an abnormally large undead ogre.
- Slash Bash appears to be wearing the artefact you are sent to retrieve on his head, which explains why he drops it when he dies.
