Sir Finistere is a character in the first RuneScape novel, Betrayal at Falador. Finistere was a retired White Knight living in the Falador Almshouse. Secretly, Finistere had allied himself with the Kinshra, delivering them information and killing any opposition. He finally met a traitor's end during The War of 164.

Marius stabs him and he is mortally injured. In order to kill him, Ebenezer and Sir Tiffy drown him under the sewage of Falador.

During his life as a traitor, he killed several people including:

• Bryant, Squire Theodore's peon

• Sir Pallas, a retired knight

• Sir Erical, the falsely accused traitor

• Sir Balladish, by framing Bryant

• The Matron, with poisonous hot chocolate

• A few guards

He also attempts to kill Kara-Meir, the hot chocolate was meant for her. However, Kara had ran away and the matron was his victim.

He frees the prisoner, Gaius, to help the Kinshra complete his plan.
