A Silvthrill rod is an item made of silver, mithril, and a sapphire. If a player casts Enchant Level 1 Jewellery, and dips it into the River Salve via the well underneath Paterdomus it will be turned into a Rod of Ivandis that has 10 charges used as a special attack to Freeze vampires, allowing you to use a Guthix balance potion on them. If a Guthix balance potion is used the vampyre will be destroyed, the vampyre will become angry (and vulnerable to all attacks) or they will be returned to human form. This item can be made again after the quest In Aid of the Myreque.
It is used during the In Aid of the Myreque quest.
