Silverhawk boots detail

Silverhawk boots are a pair of hybrid boots that can be won from Treasure Hunter. Between 14 March 2014 00:00 GMT and 17 March 2014 23:59 GMT it was possible to win Silverhawk boot soles, Silverhawk boot uppers, and Silverhawk boot tongues which could be used, along with 500 Silverhawk feathers, to create the Silverhawk boots. After 17 March, the boots will still be available to win in their charged form.

During Balthazar's Big Raffle, it was possible to win the Silverhawk boots which came with 250 charges every Saturday (or 250 Silverhawk feathers if the boots were already owned by the player).

When recharged the boots have up to 500 charges. Whilst equipped each charge gives Agility experience equal to 10% of the XP rewarded from a small XP lamp. They require a minimum of 1 Defence to wear, and can have their stats changed to 20, 40, 50 and 60.

XP will be gained and a charge will be used

  • For every minute you spend running
  • Whenever you unleash an ultimate ability in combat
  • Occasionally while skilling with a maximum of 1 charge every 45 seconds

As the Silverhawk boots award experience their charge drains. The boots can be recharged an unlimited number of times with up to 500 more Silverhawk feathers each recharge.

Silverhawk boots used to be won in pieces, which were placed in the Uncommon slot, or as a whole, which are instead placed in the Rare slot on Treasure Hunter. Feathers can also be won in multiple categories.

If a player is to die with Silverhawk boots and choose not to protect them on death they will not retain their charges and will be converted to 35,000 coins under your grave. It costs 50,000 coins to retrieve an uncharged version of the boots regardless of how many charges you had on death.

Trivia

  • Whilst running or walking with the boots, if you look closely you can see particle effects of feathers falling out and disappearing from it. These appear regardless whether there are any charges left in the boots.
  • On 26 March 2014, Mod MMG made an official statement regarding the state of Silverhawk boots and how they had jeopardised traditional Agility training. This was followed by an apology on the main page regarding micro transactions and the state of Silverhawk boots on their release, which allowed for up to 170K Agility XP an hour.
