The Silk Merchant is a non-player character in East Ardougne that buys silk. Silk cannot be sold to him by players who recently stole from his stall, unless you're carrying a vial of stench (a). The Silk Merchant will remember thieves for 30 minutes to one hour, but time spent while logged out does not count.
Stealing silk is sometimes considered the best way to train thieving for low levels. Stolen silk can be sold by first offering him 120 gp for one piece of silk, and then offering 60. There is also a "sell-silk-for-20gp" option where right-click will sell all silk in inventory for 20gp each. This is the lowest price that the Silk Merchant will buy for.
The Silk Merchant will not buy noted silk.
