Shorts are sold in Keldagrim at Vermundi's clothes stall (brown) and Agmundi Quality Clothes (tan and blue). They can also be found in the Miscellanian Clothes Shop in Miscellania and Etceteria Dungeon. They have no negative nor positive combat bonuses, and are purely for decoration. They come in three different colours; brown, tan and blue.

They are often worn as "nude" clothes. While worn with either the prince tunic, the female version of one of the stylish shirts from Balthazar Beauregard's Big Top Bonanza, the Plague Jacket from Sheep Herder, a Kyatt top, or a white or brown apron, it seems as if the character has no pants on. This is because these clothes cover up the shorts, creating the illusion of no bottoms.
