Scabaras mages are encountered during the Dealing with Scabaras quest, engaging you in a multi combat area. They can be used for the Scabarites slayer assignment. They're difficult to kill since they reside in multicombat areas with other scabarites. They use an incredibly slow magic attack (You are able to get in 4-5 hits with a Keris before they hit you again). It should also be noted that they can magically put out any light source, making you unable to attack back (except the Seers' headband which never goes out, but you still receive the "Your lights have been magically extinguished." message when they try to extinguish it).

Rarely during slayer tasks there may be a scabarite swarm summoned by the mage which will poison you.

TriviaEdit

• In the FunOrb game Armies of Gielinor there are scabarite mage but they poison other units directly by their magic instead of by the swarm.
