Enchanted sapphire bolts are mithril bolts tipped with enchanted sapphire. Sapphire bolts can be enchanted through the spell Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Sapphire) by a player with level 7 Magic. The spell enchants 10 sapphire bolts at a time. These bolts require at least a rune crossbow to fire.

Enchanted sapphire bolts are enchanted with the Clear mind ability where there is a chance of lowering their target's Prayer points and giving part of them to the attacker, although this ability only works against other players. The prayer drained per hit is equal to 5% of the opponents current prayer points.

This effect can be triggered with auto attacks and abilities, with abilities consuming one bolt per activation.

The chance of the special attack occurring is increased upon the completion of the Elite Seers' Tasks.

Trivia

• On 23 February 2010, a bug was leaked in which one could duplicate enchanted bolts but was patched on the same day. Many players were banned for using this glitch.
• These bolts were untradeable when released, but a hidden update in 2007 made them tradeable.
