The Sapphire amulet is made by using a gold bar, a sapphire and an amulet mould on a furnace. It requires a crafting level of 24 and provides 65 experience when made. The amulet must be strung before wearing or enchanting by using either a ball of wool or the String Jewellery spell. Stringing provides 4 crafting experience.
Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim buys at a better price than High Alchemy, depending on his current stock. If he has no sapphire amulets for sale, he will buy the first for 630 coins.
The sapphire amulet can be enchanted into an Amulet of Magic through the use of the Enchant Level 1 Jewellery spell, which requires level 7 magic, a cosmic rune and a water rune.
It is used in the Making History quest when you give it to Melena.
