A salve shard is the essential part needed to make the reward from the Haunted Mine quest, the Salve amulet. Salve shards are obtained by chiselling one of the crystal outcrops at the bottommost level of the Abandoned Mine. Two or more salve shards may be obtained by using the drop trick, which involves dropping the shard and cutting a new crystal in the Abandoned Mine, then picking up the dropped crystal(s).
