Rune hasta detail

The rune hasta is a members-only, one-handed melee weapon, similar to the spear, that can only be used in combat. It is the best hasta in RuneScape (as there is no Dragon hasta, although Jagex has expressed intentions of releasing such a weapon in game. Also see: Dragon equipment). To wield this weapon the player needs at least 50 Attack.

To create a rune hasta the player needs to have completed training with Otto Godblessed, have at least 90 Smithing, some magic logs, a Rune bar and a hammer. The player then needs to use the bar on the anvil to make the rune hasta. This will grant the player 150 Smithing experience.

In general, hastae are rarely used due to their requirements. However, since hastae are one handed, they may be equipped with a shield, increasing the defence bonuses of the player.

Any player who kept a Rune hasta (kp) prior to EOC still has it, but it is now an unwieldable item.
