Rune gold-trimmed armour sets are obtained through the Grand Exchange. It is a result of exchanging full Rune (g) armour through the exchange and receiving a "Rune gold-trimmed armour set (l) or (sk), where (l) means platelegs and (sk) meaning skirt.

The set can be exchanged for Rune (g) full with either a skirt or legs. The armour is obtained through Treasure Trails. Full rune (g) is the third most expensive free to play armour beaten by Zamorak armour set (l) and Saradomin armour set (l).
