Rune god armour is one of the more expensive armour types in RuneScape. It can be obtained from Level 3 and 4 Treasure Trails, and on very rare occasions from cremating Vyre corpses. Wearing the armour requires level 50 Defence, and wearing the platebodies requires completion of the quest Dragon Slayer.

As the name implies, each set is affiliated with a particular god: Guthix, Saradomin, Zamorak, Armadyl, Bandos, or Zaros. The armour gives the same defensive bonuses as Rune armour, but with a small prayer bonus. They are trimmed with a colour (green for Guthix, white for Saradomin, red for Zamorak, silver-white for Armadyl, brown for Bandos and purple for Zaros (ancient) and has each god's symbol. Wearing the armour of the corresponding God will make creatures in the God Wars Dungeon non-aggressive towards a player, with the exception of Guthix who is not represented there. Note that Zaros (ancient) armour will not make creatures in the Zaros area of God wars Dungeon unaggressive towards you.

These armours were graphically updated on 6 March 2012.

TriviaEdit

  • The Wise Old Man is one of the few owners of gold-trimmed god armour. He owns Saradomin gold-trimmed armour, which is situated on the 1st floor[UK] of his house in Draynor Village. The Animation room of the Warriors' Guild in Burthorpe houses another set of gold-trimmed Saradomin armour.
  • Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak god armours were popular targets of real world traders in Bounty Hunter, before it was removed.
  • The Armadyl, Bandos and Ancient armour sets were once available for members only. However, this was changed in the Patch Notes of 7 January 2014, due to complaints on the Runescape forums.
