Rune gauntlets (not to be confused with Rune gloves, obtained from the Culinaromancer's Chest) are a reward that can be purchased with tokens from the Fist of Guthix minigame. They come in "charged form" and do not degrade during use, unlike the other Fist of Guthix rewards.

Rune gauntlets are currently the best gloves for Free-to-play players who specialise in melee.

The gauntlets will only lose their charge if you die with them equipped or die with them in your inventory unless you are playing safe fighting minigames like Fist of Guthix or Clan Wars. Also you can talk to Reggie and have him uncharge them for you. The gauntlets can be recharged for 35 tokens. They can only be traded in uncharged form and require 40 defence to wear.

It has been confirmed that Rune Gauntlets can also be obtained as a "normal" PvP drop.
