I'd like to nominate Chiafriend12, Chia is a Sysop on the wiki who i'm pretty sure everyone knows. He has over 2000 edits, nearly 2500, over 500 mainspace. He is a well respected user here on RSW --Boywithbrain 15:27, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Wait a little, Boywithbrain. We don't start voting on the featured user for July until June. I would also have to oppose this one. Yes, Chia is well-known, but we usually feature users who have done excellent work recently, maybe created or rewrote excellent articles or worked to make the articles detailed, descriptive, and high quality. Nothing against Chia, but I haven't seen any exceptional work from him, just his regular helping out occasionally. 500 mainspace edits isn't a huge figure either =/ although Chia tends to help out more on forums, with vandalism, or with new users on talk pages.  ^GANGSTERLS   _talk18:39, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Oppose - Chia you've only been nominated twice, including this time. Also I oppose on the following grounds: 1. We're still in MAY! for crying out loud (WTF guys?!?) 2. He hasn't made any noteworthy edits currently and 3. Notice how it's basically the same people getting nominated over and over again?. It's almost like a personality cult. Oppose. I don't like Chia's behaviour on RFA lately. He opposes them because of silly reasons like self nominations, editcount, and the number of people we have as sysops. And when he didn't get his way, he quit the wiki. That isn't setting a very good example, since the uotm is supposed to be what a wiki user should behave like. This page isn't a popularity contest. Strong Oppose - Meh, doesn't really deserve it. Acts really stupid on RFA, as stated above by Dtm, and opposes for silly reasons. People nominate him just because he socializes a lot but he really doesn't do much to the actual content of the wiki. Main edits aren't everything so I guess that isn't the very best but I have more reasons why I oppose. He has a small habit of spamming people's talkpages with stupid headings such as "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" that have absolutely nothing to do with the conversation and he quit still holding a grudge on users. One of his reasons for quittng was that, in his oppinoin, too many users who were unworthy were being sysopped (implying that he is more worthy than other people). I don't really think he desrves it. Katshuma is a modest and under appreciated user. He's made over 1,200 mainspace edits and has uploaded tons of pictures. He's one of the most devoted to the wiki and doesn't seem interested in forums or becoming a sysop at all. He edits at a time when few people are on. • I am HE, even though I use female character in RuneScape.
• I am interested in becoming a sysop, but not yet. I'm not ready.
• I live in different time zone, so I really edit at time, when few people are on.
• I neutral myself, because UOM is to give good users a spotlight, and I can name many better users than me, who haven't been given the spotlight. 1 example would be Tesfan.

Katshuma, you declined your RFA, I'm not letting you decline this :) You definitely deserve this. 2000 edits, with over 66% mainspace. You are one of the backbones of this wiki. While others get distracted by user quarrels and annoying arguments, you continue to edit--and you do so in an impartial, consistently strong manner. You have my full-blown support.
