New Weakness Categories
Edit
There is consensus at Forum:Weakness category to create categories for monsters with each kind of weakness. Because of the scale of this undertaking, it will require volunteer help. Please see the previously mentioned thread for details.

- Do these categories already exist? I wouldn't want to make duplicates. MattTalk 08:24, September 4, 2010 (UTC)
Use the following categories:
- Category:Weak to stab attacks
- Category:Weak to slash attacks
- Category:Weak to crush attacks
- Category:Weak to magic attacks
- Category:Weak to ranged attacks
- Category:Weak to melee (use only if monster is generally weak against melee. Do not add Weak to slash and Weak to melee, it is not necessary)
- Category:Weak to poisoned weapons
How do I make a link to categories here without putting the page in the cat?
222 talk 01:44, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
AWB can possibly speed this up. Infobox monster has also been modified to automatically add categories, but it is being very buggy and many pages are not showing in the category, anyone who can fix this or add support for multiple weaknesses should try and fix it. 222 talk 04:32, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
This project has been finished, thanks to Matthew2602 for doing all monsters lvl 100+ and myself, all monsters lvl 1-100. Hopefully our viewers can make use of this information. P.S. AWB doesn't just possibly speed it up, it makes it heaps faster. 222 talk 02:15, September 19, 2010 (UTC)
- You know, I contacted wikia about fixing the wiki's string limit so that Template:Infobox Monster would give the categories if mentioned in the "weakness=" parameter, so as soon as that is fixed it would be nice if those would be removed from the pages as they will be given automatically.

Aftermath of Page maintenance page
Edit
RuneScape:Page maintenance was created along with some other pages as a result of consensus at Forum:Page maintenance page. A few things need to be completed as soon as possible.
Moving discussions
Edit
All discussions previously placed on article talk pages need to be moved to their own sub-pages on ATBS and ATBM.
Fixing templates
Edit
Template:vfd top and possibly Template:vfd bottom need to be modified to remove Category:Requests for deletion after archiving. This is to make RuneScape:Page maintenance run correctly.
Fixing another template
Edit
Template:Rfm and Template:Rfs need to be updated to lead to the ATBS/ATBM page as well as a link to the relevant discussion page, WITHOUT PRODUCING A RED LINK.

- Task has been completed. I'd like to add to this and say just to fix up all of the Dungeoneering Summoning images. Some of them have shadows, some of them aren't categorized, and some of them just aren't there.

Quest difficulties
Edit
Quite a few quest pages has the wiki difficulty in {{Quest details}} at the maximum which is "5". Thsi is because the parameter was defined as "difficulty" instead of "wdifficulty". So in the details, if there is a number after "difficulty" we need to change it to "wdifficulty". MattTalk 06:36, October 17, 2010 (UTC)
Adding new drops templates
Edit
A large amount Monster pages need the new drop templates to be added. This will be a massive job to tackle, which is why many users need to help. See this and that for more information.

of course one of the sneaky things that game developers do is to change drop rates and such, either in name of 'game balancing' or just to keep the users guessing, which of course keeps interest in the game, just an observation. ~kytti khat 08:34, September 1, 2010 (UTC)
This, ofcourse, is NOT true. In the past 2 years, jagex altered the droprate of a monster only ONCE, and that was Tormented Demons. This was done because jagex did not forsee that players would come up with methods as efficient as they are now to kill them. -- joske
- Not true. I've been slaying for literal years. It used to be easy to get a whip inside 3 hours, but much harder to kill abby demons. Now I can go weeks without seeing whips and often times do. Same with most other slayer monsters, bosses, and anything else with a semi-rare valuable drop. The more they are killed, the more Jagex lowers the drop rate. Be better if they solved the root problem and just made things harder to kill. HaloTalk 12:40, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Since this isn't a drop log this shouldn't matter as it will be as easy to change as it was when they were just lists.

Slayer monster pages
Edit
Per Forum:Slayer monster pages, we will add who assigns a slayer monster to the infobox. We will need to create new parameters in the Infobox Monster template, one for each slayer master. The parameters should be named after the slayer masters. Please note that the parameters should only have the original slayer master's name, meaning that Spira, Ichtyrin (however it's spelled), and Lapalok should not have parameters.
The specifications for the template are as follows:
- Each parameter is set to no by default. If the parameter is changed to yes, that means that the slayer master assigns the monster.
- A new line should be added to the infobox, named "Monsters assigned by:". If a master assigns the monster, it should be listed there. Please note that if multiple masters assign a monster, their names go all go in that line, separated by commas.
- If no slayer masters assign the monster, the Monsters assigned by line should be omitted.
- The monster should be added to the category "Monsters assigned by (name)" if the parameter is set to true.
This will require some work to finish, but it shouldn't take long, since we have a list of who assigns what. Note that a bot is required to add all of the parameters into all the infobox monster templates. Please post here if you are going to add the parameters, since we don't want edit conflicts. --King LiquidheliumTalk 22:55, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Don't you mean "If no slayer masters assign the monster, the Monsters assigned by line should be omitted" ? --Saftzie (talk) 23:12, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
I've created a list of categories for the monsters
- Category:Monsters assigned by Turael or Spria
- Category:Monsters assigned by Mazchna or Achtryn
- Category:Monsters assigned by Vannaka
- Category:Monsters assigned by Chaeldar
- Category:Monsters assigned by Sumona
- Category:Monsters assigned by Duradel or Lapalok
- Category:Monsters assigned by Kuradal
And they are all in a hub category titled Category:Monsters by Slayer master which is in the Slayer and Bestiary categories.

Adding examine info
Edit
There are a lot of pages that simply don't have examine information on them. I've created a category (Category:Needs examine added) for pages missing that. The list should get populated soon. If there's a page in there, you can just find it in-game, whether it's an item, monster or character, and simply examine it. Add that to the infobox, and it will automatically get removed from Category:Needs examine added.
It's Cook's afterbirth day! 21:56, July 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Isn't there a way we can remove this from some, because for some you simply cannot get the examine. EG: Discontinued NPCs, unreleadses updates. 62.255.192.221 09:33, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
- I suppose we could add N/A to it.
It's Cook's afterbirth day! 06:22, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
- We could set it so that "no" or "n/a" or any other negative phrases would trigger an "examine not avaliable" message. Though for discontinued NPCs there's always a way to get it, via youtube vids or what have you.

I've added the examine text to the 50 I could examine. I also simply added N/A to the ones that can't be examined yet as I didn't feel like adding it to the infobox templates for only about 10 items that couldn't be examined. Hope this helps.

Remove the stub template from non-stub articles
Edit
The stub template is on like 4100 articles I think. Most of these are complete articles and don't need this template. Don't just blindly remove it, you need to have judgment to know what is a stub and what isn't. HaloTalk 19:44, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Link to stub-article list here. (Added link for lazy people like me.) Lgm123990 19:32, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
- I've been doing some AWB work removing some stub tags as per RS:TODO. However, I've noticed that almost all of the music track articles have stub tags. I am confused as to if I should remove these of not.
- 00:42, November 14, 2011 (UTC)
- After a forum debate, it has been decided that these stub tags should not be removed unless the page has a fully-filled out infobox, an included sound file, and at least one line of description text. 00:55, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Several of the underground areas in the Shilo Village quest could do with area information, mapping, etc, maybe even their own articles. Removing Old Game Guide Citations
Edit
All the citations to the old obsolete Game Guide that was replaced by Jagex's wiki have to be removed. All uses of {{CiteGG}} have to be removed and all links to non-existent pages have to be removed. However, links to pages that have been moved should not be removed unless the original content doesn't exist. Examples of this are news article citations and postbag citations.
00:53, December 12, 2011 (UTC)- This has a list of all the old KB links. Some of them, such as postbags, wall papers and god letters still exist so it's possibly more efficient to do it manually. Cåm 01:02, February 10, 2012 (UTC)
- I've removed references to "Community powered" Jagex Wiki pages because they are far less reputable than ours and thus should not be cited. References to Jagex staff editable-only pages remain.222 talk 03:05, May 3, 2012 (UTC)
