This Store style guide is an attempt to standardise the information about NPC stores found in the game RuneScape. This is intended to be a guideline only, and not any form of a set policy that absolutely must be adhered to at all time.

If at any time you are working on a part of the wiki and you think something might come across better if it were presented in another fashion, remember to ignore this and all other rules. On the other hand, this document is intended to put together a "best practices" approach to show what the highest standard for documenting stores should be looking like.

Formats Edit

Infobox shop template Edit

General Edit

• All images in infobox shop template will be set to 250px.

Name Edit

• The name should be EXACTLY the same as the page name (including capitalization)

Image Edit

• The interior shop image files should be named as File:(Shop name) interior.png
• The exterior shop image files should be named as File:(Shop name) exterior.png
• If there are 2 shops in the same location, the shop image file should be named with the first shop according to alphabetical order.
  (For example: The shop image should be named as File:Armour Shop.png for the Armour Shop and the Ore Store in Jatizso.)
• Add this template to the image parameter:

• If the shop is located outdoor, name the shop image file as File:(Shop name).png

Icon Edit

• All icons in the infobox shop template should be the same as the in-game mini-map
  (For exmaple: There is NO icon for Jatix's Herblore Shop)
• Type No if there is no icon

Location Edit

• Add links to the location of shop if applicable
• Include the floor of the shop if applicable

Owner Edit

• Add links to the owner of the shop

Special Edit

• If it is a general store, type [[General store|General]]
• Otherwise, use no more than 3 words to summarize the type of items it sells
  (For example:Fishing equipment, Mithril weapons, Runes etc.)
• Separate each category with a comma ,
• Remember to add link for each category
• Add <br/> between each category

Map Edit

• The shop map files should be named as File:(Shop owner's name) location.png
• If it is a general store owned by a typical shopkeeper, the file should be named as File:(Shop name) location.png
• If there are 2 shops in the same location, the shop map file should be named with the first shopkeeper's name according to alphabetical order.
  (For example: The shop map should be named as File:Raum Urda-Stein location.png for the Armour Shop and the Ore Store in Jatizso.)

Standard Edit

• 100% zoom
• NO titles, yellow connector things
• Use 18px Kingthings Petrock with color #FFFFFF for font
• Add >2 title to mark the nearby areas
• Use this arrow to mark nearby areas beyond the map
• Use this circle to mark the location

Contents Edit

General Edit

• Add any related information about the shop
  (For example:Players' shopping habits, Similarities or differences between similar shops etc.)

Shop Sign Edit

• If the shop has a sign, insert it in front of the first paragraph
• The sign should be named as File:(Shop name) sign.png

Stock Edit

• The shop stock files should be named as File:(Shop name) stock.png
• All stock images will be set to 350px.

• Transparency SHOULD NOT be added
• For 2+ stock images, merge all images with an image-editing software such as GIMP, Photoshop, Paint etc.
• All StoreLineLarge templates should be changed to StoreLine templates
• For free items, they should have a separate line and indications
