I have been using and editing this wiki using a variety of IPs for about a year now and through this time, I have been to talk pages, to the Yew Grove and have gotten to know the more prolific and voiceful users quite well even though you may not know me. I have constantly been impressed with Endasil, with his quality of edits, with his deep understanding of how this place works and in particular, with his deferential nature, his cool, calm and collected ways. I think this is the perfect person to handle extra responsibility and power and so I nominate him to be RuneScape wiki's newest bureaucrat. Of course since we are nominating a bureaucrat and not an administrator, there is a second factor we must consider: the need for one. Of the nine people who have bureaucrat status, only three remain and only one still contributes regularly. If something were to happen to Dtm142, we would be be in trouble if something happens here that would require the urgent need of a bureaucrat. Moreover, the Runescape wiki and its community has grown much since the last time a bureaucrat has been named seven months ago. I think it's time for a new one and if Endasil and the community agrees, hopefully we will have a new one.--Diberville 17:15, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

I, Endasil, accept this nomination for adminship. I have read the policies concerning administrators. I realize that this nomination may fail. If I do get community consensus, I promise not to abuse my powers because I realize that this is a serious offence and if the community finds that I have done so, my powers will be revoked and in extreme cases I could be given a community ban. Signed, (declined, see below).

I very much appreciate the gesture Diberville, but unfortunately I think I need to decline this nomination. While some may think I'm a good fit for bureaucrat, I have to say that due to my schedule, I can never guarantee that I'll be active for a prolonged period of time. While I am flattered at this nomination, I can't stomach the thought of another bureaucrat going inactive after nomination, much less that bureaucrat being me. Many of the long-termers here will note that though I've been around for over a year, there have been periods upwards of two or three months where I have shown very little activity; I can't promise that this won't continue. It's for this reason that I have tried not to show an interest in bureaucrat status, and why I must decline. Thanks. Endasil (Talk) @  17:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
