Featured articles (previously known as Articles of the Month (AOTM)) are articles considered to be the best articles in the RuneScape Wiki, as determined by RuneScape Wiki's editors. Before becoming featured, articles are reviewed for accuracy, neutrality, completeness, and style according to our featured article criteria.

Featured articles are featured on the Main Page. A small gold star icon () on the top right corner of an article's page indicates that the article is featured.

CriteriaEdit

The articleEdit

The article is in the mainspace. It cannot be a project page (RuneScape:), a template (Template:), a category (Category:), a user page (User:), a file (File:), a discussion page (Talk: or User/Template/MediaWiki/RuneScape talk:), or a software page (MediaWiki:). In addition, it cannot be the main page itself. Any invalid nominations will be deleted.
The article is well written and informative.
The article follows the style guide.

VotingEdit

Anyone qualified to vote may nominate an article at any time.
When consensus has been reached, administrators may close nominations.

Nominating an articleEdit

Put {{featured}} on the article you wish to be featured.
Create a page called RuneScape:Featured articles/Name of article. On the page, put ===[[Name of article]]===, and put the reason you think the article should be featured under it. Put your signature (~~~~) after your reason.
Under the "Current nominations" section of this page, put {{RuneScape:Featured articles/Name of article}}.

After nominationEdit

Remove {{featured}} from the article.
Near the bottom of the winning article, before the categories and templates, put {{featured article}}.
Move the nomination to the current archive.
Delete the nomination in the Current nominations section.
Administrators - For successful nominations, update the featured article template with the new feature article.

Nominating a delistmentEdit

Create a page called RuneScape:Featured articles/Name of article (delist). On the page, put ===[[Name of article]]===, and put the reason you think the article should be delisted under it. Put your signature (~~~~) after your reason.
Under the "Nominations for delisting" section of this page, put {{RuneScape:Featured articles/Name of article (delist)}}.
Place {{Featured delist}} on the article.
