Gregorovic is Sliske's general in the Heart of Gielinor.

Getting there[]

Gregorovic is located in the northeastern area of The Heart. To enter his chamber, the player must obtain 40 Sliskean killcount (20 if the player has obtained the 50% killcount reduction perk, requiring 4,500 Reputation). Players can easily gain killcount by visiting Sliske's Necropolis or by visiting nodes that Sliskean forces are attacking.

Recommended Equipment[]

The choice of combat style won't have a huge effect, as we will be in a mass. However, low leveled players may wish to use magic or ranged, as Gregorovic's melee attacks

The Fight[]

Gregorovic, like all the other generals in the Heart, has 200,000 lifepoints. However, he is considered the hardest general because of his accurate and high-damage attacks.

He can change his combat level to a seemingly random number; this is only visual and does not affect his abilities.

Players should be aware that Gregorovic is capable of poisoning the player in quick intervals with his attacks, though the poison only lasts for about 20 seconds. Antipoisons do work, but because the poison piles up quickly, its effects will not last that long. The Venomblood perk is recommended so that this does not become an issue when fighting him. Players who use bleeds on Gregorovic should lure him, as running under him to multiply bleed damage can result in unnecessary melee damage while doing so.

Gregorovic uses normal melee and ranged attacks; he swings his glaives up close for melee and throws them with ranged. Both styles do very high damage (slightly lower then Vindicta's), but because they hit quickly and accurately, the use of Soul Split is recommended only if the player has a lag-free connection and is at least two squares away. Because his melee attack often hits twice, if the player does this when he is one square away, they will be damaged quickly and will usually not have enough time to swap prayers to reduce its damage. Even though Gregorovic has a very large attack range, he will come up to two squares away from the player when attacking a few seconds after spawning. Players can keep Soul Split on as long as Gregorovic misses (which in his case, is a double shield; if none appear then it will hit the player).

In addition, Gregorovic uses the following attack pattern:

  • 3 auto-attacks
  • Trick Knife (3x)
  • 3 auto-attacks
  • Summon spirit
  • 3 auto-attacks
  • Glaive throw
  • Repeat

Three attacks after spawning, Gregorovic will ready his right arm and throw a trick knife at a player (or his target if they are the only ones). This will hit three times in total and will bounce between players, even if they are in the lobby area. It will also bounce between shadows if any are present. Protect/Deflect Ranged with Devotion or Debilitate are recommended to reduce the damage from this attack, as the knives have 100% accuracy and can hit up to 2300 damage. Another good method if either skill is unavailable is to Resonance the first knife, then use Reflect on the second and third ones. The thrown knives will always hit the player regardless of their armour. Players should be wary if using Resonance on the second knife as Gregorovic's normal attacks may "snipe" it and leave the player open to a massive hit. Note that these knives can change combat damage depending if the player is within melee or range distance so do not panic or the knives may suddenly change into melee damage.

Three more attacks after the knife throw, Gregorovic will say "RISE, CHILD!". This will summon a Spirit of rage, Spirit of delirium or Spirit of mania from the respective masks depending on where he was when he summoned them. Each spirit will give a different effect to Gregorovic if they touch him without being distracted; the spirit of rage increases his attack damage, the spirit of delirium increases his poison damage, and the spirit of mania increases his attack speed and as a result, use of special abilities. Simply attack the spirit to gain their attention; once this happens, even if they touch Gregorovic, they will not pass their effects to him. Note that the player can miss, so make sure to deal some damage to gain their attention, or the spirit will continue to approach Gregorovic. The spirits do not attack and multiple copies can stack on him, so make sure to get the new spirits that are summoned onto you. The spirits only have 3,000 health and can be used for Sacrifice or extending Devotion. If the player has the Venomblood perk, it does not matter of the spirit of delirium touches him, as it will cancel out his poison damage.

After the spirit summon and three normal attacks, Gregorovic will toss both of his glaives into the air. Shadows will appear throughout the arena in a scattered formation. After two seconds, daggers and knives will fall from the ceiling and deal up to 1,700 magic damage onto the player if they did not move away from any shadowed spots. This can be reduced through abilities and prayers, but be ready to swap back to ranged prayers as Gregorovic will immediately attack after he finishes. Note that despite the 1x1 tile coverage, this attack is gimmicky; moving one tile south will prevent the player from being damaged, but moving a tile north (or northeast) will result in taking damage. This attack will always hit if the player is caught in the attack radius.

When Gregorovic reaches 140,000 and 60,000 hitpoints, he will summon 2/3 shadows, respectively, onto the field. Occasionally double the usual number are summoned. These shadows, just like the spirits, only have 3,000 hitpoints. Their spawn location is completely random as they spawn all over the arena. While the shadows are alive, Gregorovic can swap places with the shadow copies, which can interrupt abilities if far away and can allow him to throw melee attacks on the player if a shadow is next to them. The shadows attack with ranged and can be easily disposed of with AoE abilities. They can be ignored as they barely deal any damage, but if planning to use Resonance on the knife attack, it is recommended to kill them so that they do not snipe it and allow the knife damage to go through.

During the fight, players should stay in one corner of the arena (preferably the northwest or east corners). This way, Gregorovic can only call for delirium spirits whose effects will be negated by the Venomblood perk. If Gregorovic does swap places with a shadow near the other two masks, the respective spirit should be attacked so it does not give buffs to him for that fight. Dreadnips are also recommended as Gregorovic is not immune to their stuns or poison, making the fight that much easier.

With enough experience, players can gain up to 25 or more Gregorovic kills per hour without the need to bank for food.
