Hide and SeekEdit

F2P/P2P

Type: Unique

Requirements: None

Danger: 0/5 -Rune Zekrom 17:16, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your suggestion. (: We plan on doing more Hide and Seek events in the future, and will keep in mind that you'd prefer a non-dangerous one. (; Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 17:29, April 8, 2011 (UTC)

Pest ControlEdit

  • Players: Pay to Play
  • Type: Combat minigame
  • Requirements: 40+ combat
  • Danger: 0/5 (safe minigame)

Yes, I know, we've done Pest Control before, but I can't help but be dying to play some more (with human players), especially since scheduling hates me. It's a fun, balanced game that involves everyone working as a team against NPCs, and all the roles in the game are necessary, so be you on the offense or defense, you're doing you're part and respected for that.

-- Hofmic Talk 00:30, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion, but as you said, we've had one recently so it may be a little while until the next one :-) - [Pharos] iPhone Edit

Bronze WarsEdit

  • F2P/P2P
  • Type: Combat minigame
  • Requirements - full bronze armor and weapons
  • Danger - 1/5 -unregistered user- 21:00, April 16, 2011 (PST)

- bring bronze armor and weapons to the wilderness ( in world 153, just east of the Dark Knights' Fortress) and have an epic pking period with no risk of losing anything expensive! - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.49.118.127 (talk).

We've only very recently done a steel war. There are also a large range of problems involved in hosting one outside of clan wars. We'll have a think about it. - [Pharos] 12:04, April 9, 2011 (UTC)

God Wars DungeonEdit

  • P2P
  • Type: Boss Hunting
  • Requirements: 70 Strength or Constitution (those are the easier to bosses for most people to get to). Depending on the dungeon, a hammer or ropes might be necessary and your best armor/food/weapons/pots are recommended in all cases.
  • Danger: 3/5 in the beginning but 5/5 at the end [When there are 10+ people in the CC only the tank is in danger, when there are 5 or fewer people in the CC everyone has to stay alert]
Comment: Last time we did a GWD event I for one thought it was great. I would love to fight the Zamorak boss [which I have never done since I can't solo him and no team wants a cb level 92] or even just fight Bandos again [if more people would rather a safer fight]. I just think its smarter to avoid the Zarosian, Saradomin, and Armadylian dungeons since they are harder to get into so less members will be able to attend and they are also hard(er) to fight.
613angel 02:01, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
ps: when someone responds can they please add how to make this a separate topic?
pps: Events team: Is there any way for you to make a poll where users can pick more than one option? The only reason I voted for "other" was since I wanted like 3 of the 4 choices but the poll was only letting me pick one.
Thanks for your suggestion, we did the Zamorak boss on our very first event, but we'll definitely visit him in the future. RE:ps: By the way, this is a separate topic. (: RE:pps: Well that's why we encourage you to post your ideas. (; Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 07:08, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
1. I still don't know how to make my post a new topic, someone did it for me I think
2. Yeah, the Bandos event was great. The Zamorak event I missed due to timezone issues [American] 613angel 23:35, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Dagannoth Kings Edit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - Boss
  • Requirements - Started The Fremennik Trials + 1000 coins for toll (Free once the quest is complete)
  • Danger - 5/5 (the group as a whole should be prepared with all combat types - melee, mage, and ranged)

It might be worthwhile to take a poll to see if some people are more interested in side-trips to some of the other monsters. --Saftzie (talk) 06:41, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

What side-trips to other monsters do you mean? The other ones located in the tunnels? Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 07:08, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Mmm, we were already planning to go DKs sometime soon. Thanks for the reinforcement i guess ^_^ And yeah... what else would you kill in that area when you could fight the DKs? 0_o - [Pharos] 07:24, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
By "other" I meant mostly wallasalkis and giant rock crabs. Some people kill them for the armor pieces they drop. Otherwise, yeah, if players bother to trek there, it's probably for the kings. I was wondering if we might lose some attendees who stay a bit behind to wale on the other monsters, whether they specifically want to kill other monsters or maybe just not face the kings right away. A poll might give some indication about how many that might be. --Saftzie (talk) 23:00, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Sure, we'll add one when we make the page. (And yes, i did just confirm that we'll use the idea :3) - [Pharos] 03:51, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Kalphite Queen Edit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - Boss
  • Requirements - None, other than the ability to get to the hive, 2nd level (coins for passes, ropes, etc.)
  • Danger - 5/5 (each player should be prepared with melee and one other combat type (mage or ranged), antipoison)

We sort of did the KQ with bronze daggers and air staves, but let's do it for real. --Saftzie (talk) 06:41, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your suggestion, we'll be sure to squash, I mean visit, her. (: Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 07:08, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, this could be a bit more annoying to split into groups for, she's quite the noob :P I guess the level of player that would attend might balance this out a little - [Pharos] 07:24, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you mean. We wouldn't actually hop to separate worlds from inside her chamber, would we? There are safe places on level 1 that would be suitable for that. Or are you concerned that all the low-level players might end up alone on one world? Isn't that a danger for every boss event? --Saftzie (talk) 23:04, April 11, 2011 (UTC)
I mean, if people were bitching about fighting something like the corporeal beast in groups of 30 because they were too large, how small will we have to go for the kalphite queen? - [Pharos] 03:51, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
I think the corporeal beast was a special case compared to, say, a GWD boss.
  1. It didn't really drop anything, even after several hours.
  2. For the decent drops that did exist, two players got them all. Yes, I know, they shared them with beggars, but it's pretty silly to have to beg at an event when LS is supposed to handle fairness.
  3. Because of the above, player drops when they died were much, much, much more profitable. Enough players looted, so anyone who died was guaranteed to lose everything not kept on death.
  4. Also because of the above, anyone who died lost orders of magnitude more wealth than they gained. Lots of people died.
The group events should be more about killing the monster with decreased individual risk. The corp beast event didn't provide even that. The KQ's drops can be pretty sparse, too, but none of the other conditions need apply to the KQ. At least people shouldn't lose money (other than maybe food and ammo) if they show up. --Saftzie (talk) 21:48, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Green dragonsEdit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - It's a almost boss, they're being bosses cause of wilderness pking.
  • Requirements - good armor, 70+ combat level.
  • Danger - Danger 4/5 All can rely on the rune wikia colabs to kill green dragons and get your own dragon bones without any danger.

It is on the level 19-23 wilderness to the extreme east part, near the old clan wars.

User:Smithing321

No. Pkers, bad drops, weak monster, hard to accommodate large group. - [Pharos] 15:20, April 11, 2011 (UTC)

There is always the idea of general monster hunts. Green dragons may not be such a great idea, but there are other multicombat areas, like the Chaos Tunnels, the snowy Fremennik Isles, or Ork's Rift. The question is whether people would show up for monsters that aren't bosses. Would people kill ice trolls for an hour just to kill ice trolls and hang out, e.g? --Saftzie (talk) 01:07, April 12, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, yes, we heard your idea before :P I shall go bring it up with the randoms (that don't read this) again. - [Pharos] 03:51, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
FWIW, I went trawling around other fan sites for their ideas. One of them did a generic monster hunt in the Stronghold of Player Safety against Cockroaches. I rather purposefully left that out of my list above because I thought roaches would be too low-level for mass slaughter, but it's an additional place to consider. --Saftzie (talk) 10:38, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Impetuous Impulses Edit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - activity
  • Requirements - Fairy tail part 1 quest (started fairytail part 2 up 2 fairyrings u do not need the part 2 requierments 2 get that far) at least 17 hunter recomended higher
  • Danger - 0/5 people in clan would tell about implings they cant catch 2 other mem of clan

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 151.196.182.196 (talk) on 01:43, 13 April 2011 (UTC).

Comment - Isn't the real quest requirement Lost City? Players can then get to Zanaris through the tool shed in Lumbridge swamp. --Saftzie (talk) 11:21, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Comment 2: Also, how fast do the implings respawn? Since if good ones don't respawn right away [and I don't think they do] then havin 20+ people all try to hunt at similar levels in a small area might not be a very good idea -- 613angel 15:51, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, not very fast but there are many of them. It could happen across multiple worlds. However, my question to you is: What would we do about the 10+ bots on every single world that scour Puro-Puro for implings? Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 15:53, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Clan WarsEdit

  • F2P or P2P - F2P
  • Type - Combat Minigame
  • Requirements - Just your best Melee, Ranged or Magic armour and dont forget your arrows and runes.
  • Danger - (3/5) Depends on what option we choose, Dangerous or Safe

—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 124.182.1.104 (talk).

We just did that a few weeks ago... And we won't do it again for a while I'd say - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 16:10, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

Fishing contestEdit

  • F2P
  • Type: Skilling
  • Requirements: Bring along whatever fishing equipment you think is best
  • Recommended: A high fishing level of at least 40
  • Danger: 0/5 (Fishing is safe!)

Whoever catches the best fish (based on level) in 5 minutes wins a prize! - 220.255.1.102 09:06, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Ooookay, I get the concept but I'm not too sure how fun it would be to compare fish with each other... - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 16:10, May 4, 2011 (UTC)
Oh ok lol... I guess we can put up an attractive prize (such as 10k + free lobsters or something like that) and set a registration fee or something...
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 220.255.2.79 (talk) on 10:49, 5 May 2011 (UTC).

cooking contestEdit

  • F2P
  • Type: Skilling
  • Requirements: moderate cooking level, cooking items will not be supplied.
  • Reccomended: a high cooking level
  • Danger: 0/5

Cook as much food as you can then show it to the judges. The winners get a prize! - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.26.33.88 (talk) on 00:55, 29 April 2011 (UTC).

Uhhhhh, soo we want to reward people with high cooking and less lagg... I don't really see the point to this event - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 16:10, May 4, 2011 (UTC)
My problem is people will bring in an inventory already filled with food. Smuff [kthnxbai] 23:52, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, this would be fun in a different kind of community, but here people could easily cheat. /: Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 23:56, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
sorry if i do this wrong I'm new here, but couldn't all the players perform trades beforehand, to verify the presence of absence of precooked food The man himself... Pavilonn 02:52, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, they could, but it's incredibly easy to bank in only a few seconds these days. And if we want this contest to go longer than 20 seconds we'd need to let them bank anyway... - [Pharos] 02:58, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
Good point, hows about the ET combine the fishing and cooking contests, keep the idea of pre-event trading and relocate the event to Karamja using stiles to note all cooked items? The man himself... Pavilonn 03:05, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
Hmmm, good idea. We'll think about it. - [Pharos] 04:07, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

Armadyl GWDEdit

Bring good ranged gear, lots of high healing food (Sharks and higher or Saradomin Brews and Super restores. Lots of high leveled bolts recommended and some medium leveled bolts for kill count. We will use multiple friends chats spread out across multiple worlds. If we get big enough groups, people won't be hit very often when praying ranged, as his magic attack will mostly be blocked by high-level range armor and he can only attack with melee if nobody is attacking him. For more information, see Kree'arra

- Wicid13 04:50, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Also, since this is the only GWD event we haven't done yet (other than Nex of course), I believe that we should do this sometime soon, at least before any other GWD events. Wicid13 04:57, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
Really wicid? This is for events we CAN'T think of :P Why would we do Sara, Zammy and Bandos and NOT do Armadyl >_>? You might get a surprise at what we do AFTER Armadyl but that can wait :3 - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 16:10, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

Zamorack GWDEdit

  • P2P
  • Type - Boss
  • Requirements - You need 70 Constitution to access the fortress and your prayer is drained upon entry. so i recommend extra prayer pots. i also recommend some holy water to weaken him. if meleeing a whip, zammy body, tassets would do nicely and anything else powerful in your bank =).
  • Danger - 5/5
We had a Zamorak GWD event not too long ago, but we'll be sure to have another one in the future. (: Thanks for your suggestion! Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 23:56, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Trouble Brewin'Edit

  • P2P
  • Type - Minigame
  • Requirements - Access to Mos Le'Harmless; Cramulet or Monkey Speak would help
  • Danger - 2/5, The danger is actually getting there.

Hey why not somethin' different? Twigy ゼロ RiftPixelPonySized.png 02:22, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

"Somethin' different" normally implies something we haven't already done :L But yes, TB is near the top of my list of events to redo - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 02:37, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
We've done it before? Never saw that... Twigy ゼロ RiftPixelPonySized.png 02:41, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
RuneScape:Events Team/Trouble Brewing (27 Jan 2011) :) - [Pharos] 07:13, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
I came back in February that's why. Twigy ゼロ RiftPixelPonySized.png 07:17, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
The problem with the previous event is that it quickly degenerated into a sabotage-fest. There's no way to stop that, and it sometimes happens on the theme world, too. --Saftzie (talk) 16:17, May 7, 2011 (UTC)

Relay RaceEdit

  • F2P or P2P - F2P
  • Type - Unique
  • Requirements - None, though light gear would help
  • Danger - 0-1.5/5 possible routes through wilderness, low levels would be at risk near draynor jail

Racers would be on two or more teams, with a different cape color to tell each team apart. Runners would go to various points, and wait for the one before to arrive. I.E. Runner 1 would start at Shanty Pass, run north to Ali the leaflet, then trade the one item he's holding (bread, bronze sword, or other cheap item chosen beforehand) to the next runner, who can't run until he has the item. R2 would run from there to varrock square, trade with R3, and so on until they reach the end point, in this case the zamorack tower. First man to arrive wins for his team. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Axslayer33 (talk) on 21:13, 23 April 2011 (UTC).

We've thought about a race like this before, not sure if we could pull it off effectively though. We'll look into it though. (: Signature5.pngSignature5Last.png 00:28, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Fist of GuthixEdit

  • P2P
  • Type: Combat minigame
  • Requirements -Bring your best combat attire whether it be Mage, Melee, or Ranged! No food, potions, or runes allowed. The Guthix Gods will provide you with health packs, and runes to kill with.
  • Danger - 0/5- Safe Minigame
Hmmm, I think this would probably work better as a f2p event. Fog isn't as fun in p2p with so many other minigame choices. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 23:16, April 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. Definitely a good idea, and many people enjoy playing it. - User:Smithing321
I agree, f2p fog would be better. Other than that, i'm willing to go for it =) -Rune Zekrom 00:42, April 12, 2011 (UTC)
The only problem is, are we going to have rewards? How would be able to determine winners, if any? If this is just an event for fun, I'd go for it. HerbloreWilliam LashtalkFletching cape (t) 21:14, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
Why would we have rewards for this event ._. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 16:10, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

TzHaar Fight Pit PvM Edit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - Minigame
  • Requirements - None
  • Danger - 0/5

Yet another idea stolen from inspired by another fan site: Do the Fight Pits, but not PvP. Wait until the monsters appear to thin out the players, then team up on the monsters. Anyone who initiates combat against another player is fair game for piling. Given our usual crowd, enforcing no PvP might be a challenge. --Saftzie (talk) 10:54, April 13, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, i trawl through the events lists of other fansites too :3 But the problem with quite a few of them, much like with this one, is trusting people not to be *bleeep*. But beyond that, there is also the issue of how long it will be entertaining. At the end of the fight pits event, there were around 5 people left. As soon as we got in, i'd go for Gaz's throat (like a *bleeep* :3) and everyone else would just stand around and wait for the monsters to spawn. And with just those 4 (of varying combat levels) they were tearing the tzhaar to shreds. If we had any more than that attend it'd just be much too easy. Now, if the number of monsters increased depending on how many players were there, it would be a great event; but as it stands, im not so sure. Ill come back to this after we see how the gnomeball event goes. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 12:52, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
I've never done the Fight Pit for more than my gloves, so I have limited experience there. From the description in the article on this wiki, it seems like there should be more monsters, so maybe it is proportional to how many players are left. It looks like the toughest one is a Level 90 Tok-Xil, though. --Saftzie (talk) 22:55, April 13, 2011 (UTC)
I have ridden these out to the end. After you pass the last monster it just burns you like the bugs in lumbridge caves without a light: slow drain until you die - 71.65.217.227 00:20, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

KBDEdit

  • F2P or P2P - P2P
  • Type - Boss
  • Requirements - If you are going to fight using melee,at least 60 attack for a dragon dagger(p++)recommended and 40 or 60 defence for rune or dragon,an antifire potion and anti dragon shield are a REALLY recommended,or a dragonfire shield to save inventory space.will to lootshare with range have 61 ranged for rune crossbow and 60 for dragon spear(stunning the dragon will help EVERY single ranger or mage)mage is not recommended as dragons have high magic defence altough when you have ancient magicks use ice spells and blood spells you can still hit decent amounts.
decent food.
  • Danger - (rating 5) We are going to kill king black dragon so be prepared and DON'T go away for keyboard!if we run into any pker we will all team at him.
Thanks for the suggestion, we'll consider it - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 02:09, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
