Getting there[]
There are many ways to get to Castle Wars:
- Teleport there directly, using a Ring Of Duelling
- Run west from the Yanille lodestone. Beware of the agressive Ogres!
- Run north from Fairy ring bkp
- Use the Balloon situated just outside of the lobby.
Gameplay[]
Castle Wars is RuneScape's version of Capture-the-Flag. There are two teams, Saradomin and Zamorak. The goal is to capture the enemy team's standard: a big flag situated at the very top of their fortress.
There are many ways to the enemy fortress - traverse the dangerous, collapsing tunnels underground; sneak around the battlefield and jump over the river at the edge; or just storm right through the middle of the arena. Once in the enemy fortress, you will have to fight through the enemy team to the top of the castle, where you grab the standard - and then you have to get back to your own fortress to capture it!
You can bring any gear you want - on death, you just respawn in your team's lobby with all your equipment. Food is provided in the form of Bandages. Note that you cannot bring capes into the arena.
Wearing a Castle Wars brace at the start of the game gives several bonuses: 20% more damage against enemies wielding your team's standard, and 50% more health per bandage.

The main reward from Castle Wars are the Gold and Silver tickets. These are awarded as follows:

These tickets can be used to buy special armour, only available from Castle Wars. Additionally, you can win halos that reduce Prayer drain rates, special capes based on your performance in-game, and several items that help you in future Castle Wars matches.
