Dorgesh-Kaan Thieving and Firemaking
I think that this is a very detailed guide for a very underutilized method of training two skills (primarily Firemaking, but also Thieving). The person who wrote this (User:Jrrast) obviously put a lot of time and effort into making this article, even making a map of Dorgesh-Kaan for people who learn better visually to understand this method of training. I think this article should have a lot more recognition (I think I'll link to it on the firemaking training page now), and I think it is definitely AOTM material. Oppose - Sorry, but this is too incomplete and lacks images. Plus, it's just a set of steps about how to train firemaking and thieving. Zezzima Talk • Edit # • Skills

Lumbridge
I think this is a very well-written, detailed article about a well-known town. Lumbridge is the first town that all new players see, and most begin their training here by killing men, goblins, chickens, and cows. Aside from the outside monsters, Lumbridge contains some small shops/facilities such as the altar and furnace. The castle is the default respawn point for all free players and some members, as well as home to important figures, and many quests take place here, like Recipe for Disaster and The Lost Tribe. Most players take advantage of the castle's resources such as the two banks, spinning wheel, and more. All this makes Lumbridge one of the most important cities in RuneScape. Along with its importance and the quality of its article, Lumbridge would be a great featured article. Zezzima Talk • Edit # • Skills

Support - Great article, way better than the other crap articles. Per zezzima and everything else he said. Try Combat 00:48, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm kinda... confused? Is that the word I'm looking for? ...maybe suspicious. Two accounts, one (Try Combat) with no previous edits, the other with one, to ss... odd, to say the least...

Support I was nominating Lumbridge Castle for months but this article will do just fine. It has history and is related to the castle. It is also interesting and has good quality.

Slayer
I think slayer should be out next featured article. It has been ranked 13 in the most visited page on Runescape wikia source. It has very fun activites and many high level players use it. Even the lowest levels find it enjoyable. Many say its well fun, good money and xp as you are training 3 (5 if on shared) skills at once. One good article that deserves to be featured.

Oppose - Slayer isn't a well-known skill. So what if it's ranked most visited?? It's just the act of killing monsters for slayer experience. The skill itself is really boring. If you wanna nominate anything good, nominate wc. —Noob4lyfe (talk • contribs) forgot to sign this comment on 17:40, June 5, 2009.
- By your reasoning, woodcutting is also really boring - cutting down trees for money/experience. By extension, all skills, nay, all of RuneScape is too - doing stuff for experience points or for coins.
- AOTM is judged by the quality of the article, not the quality of the thing that the article is about.

Support- I support this, becuase alyer is a great way to get total xp, and level. I personally enjoy slayer because it allows me to relax. —Mybff (talk • contribs) forgot to sign this comment on 15:52, 2 June 2009 (UTC).
Oppose Sorry, but that article just doesn not cut it. Informative but just too...boring. No style.--Degenret01 04:04, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Baxtorian
I was amazed when I first stumbled upon this article how high quality it was. It is very well written, a nice size, has a good spattering of pictures and is on a not well known NPC that I feel deserves more credit. I feel that the article justifies itself.

Neutral - It is a great article, but I support my Lumbridge as nominator. Shouldn't articles be on well-known NPC's? The Wise Old Man article was a good one, and so is this, but I can't support it too.

STRONG Oppose - Sorry, but this article is too short and useless. There's only 2 images in the whole article! Not even a PICTURE of Baxtorian! Zezzima Talk • Edit # • Skills

- I thought that the point of Article of the month was to show off the high quality articles that exist on the wiki. Length and quantity don't make much of an impact on quality. It would be kind of hard to get a picture of him though since he does not appear in the game.

Oppose: I did waterfall quest and to be honest, baxtorian isn't that important in that quest. Maybe you should nominate baxtorian falls; that place is more important. Noob4lyfe 17:35, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Comment - Lumbridge has way more pictures and information, and you just support this because you hate me. It's prejudice. Zezzima Talk • Edit # • Skills

Support - We should have more articles like this featured. I don't come on the Wiki to read about Skillcapes, I come on for the history of RuneScape. I think this would be a good idea. Asparagoose 16:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Support - I actually worked on the article a while ago, and I'm glad to see it's shaped up pretty fully. I think it's a perfect example of how something not even seen in-game can really be interesting and worth reading about.

Support - Quite an interesting article about a very little known, but important member of gielinor's history. Gr33nday345 19:35, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Oppose This article has no pictures of Baxtorian, Baxtorian is not an important NPC, he just doesn't need to be featured. I support the article Lumbridge Ajihad282Teh talk - U wants 2 borrow?

Comment It doesn't have pictures of Baxtorian because Baxtorian is dead. -_- Asparagoose 13:53, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Comment 1: He is dead, so how can there be pictures of him?? 2: Baxtorian's clan was essential in the development of the human and gnome empires during the majority of the fourth age when the elves sought to expand their teritory. Gr33nday345 14:24, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Support - It is very well written, and documents the history of the person well enough to be featured.

Comment - Can everyone stop saying: 'There's No Picture of Baxtorian'. It's very very hard to get a picture of someone who does not exist in game. Requie_m Gone until another rainy day
