The ruins are all that remain of the Zarosian fortress and village once known as Dareeyak. They are located in the wilderness west of the bandit camp and south of the Forgotten Cemetery. These ruins have many tiles and about 10 planks scattered about and are infested with many giant spiders and bears. A lone anvil is one of the few usable artefacts remaining. There is also a hammer, cake tin, steel bar, and 4 Steel nails spawn near the anvil. This is not a good place to train smithing due to the slowness of the steel bar respawn rate. The building in the north-east also drops a small fishing net, seed dibber, and fishing bait. In the center to the south-west of the magic tree, there is a flower patch.
This place is also extremely dangerous, as the higher-levelled and more rare revenants - including Dark Beasts and Dragons - may appear or spawn in the room just north of the anvil and attack the player (Known to Revenant Hunters as the Revenant House). The most common revenant found here is the revenant goblin, and the revenant imp. Near the statue, a pack of revenant werewolves, or Revenant orks may come, and can kill anyone unsuspectingly if not careful enough.
If a player encounters a revenant, they may use the spirit realm as a means of escape. However, you will not be able to transport to the spirit realm if the revenant Teleblocks you. It is therefore suggested to bring a Forinthry bracelet to use the Portal even while Teleblocked.
There is a Magic tree here, however it is linked to the Cursed Magic Tree in the Spirit Realm. The magic tree will only spawn when the cursed magic tree is cut down, and vice versa.
The quest Spirit of Summer is involved with this place.
There is a statue in the Ruins that had it's head removed. The examine text says it is the founder of the town/village.
