The Ring of random was an item obtained during the 2018 April Fools' event. It was obtained randomly by selecting a rare item after attempting to wear the ring of rares.

Rather randomly, you receive a rather random ring.

The player can wear the ring to transform into old random event NPCs. These include:

Attempting to wear a ring of random after 00:00 UTC 2 April 2018 produced the following message:

The ring slips from your grasp and rolls away, never to be seen again.

All rings of random and ring of rares were then removed from the bank and inventory.
