Revenant hobgoblins are a type of revenant. They are more dangerous than their combat level suggests, more than a player with the same combat level. It has the ability to freeze you from movement, block you from teleporting, as well as dealing a significant amount of damage in combat with melee, ranged, and magic. It can also restore hitpoints rapidly and cure itself from poison, just like all the other revenants. Even though the max is 20, it rarely hits above 17.
Their low defence also makes them fairly easy to kill, even with bare feet and hands. If your level exceeds 108 in F2P, you must be a member to fight it, and if it exceeds 116 in P2P, you'll never get to fight it. They are common at the eastern edge east of Clan Wars, the Mage Arena, Demonic Ruins, the Moss Giants by the Canoe station, and Dark Warriors' Fortress.
Revenant hobgoblins can also poison, starting at 5 damage, however they only seem to poison in level 50+ Wilderness.
On 23 September 2009, there was a graphical makeover for Hobgoblins, and Revenant Hobgoblins were affected too.
