Ranarr seeds are used in the Farming skill to grow Ranarr weed. The required level to grow Ranarr weed is 32 farming. The seed must be planted in an herb patch to grow.

After about 80 minutes it should be ready to harvest and yields about 5 grimy herbs (if supercompost was used before it was planted or with the Fertile soil spell) or more.

The Grand Exchange price is roughly determined by the price of the Ranarr herbs that the seed produces. These are highly valued by farmers as ranarr herbs are in great demand.

These seeds are a rare drop from moss giants, ice warriors, ogres, cockroach soldiers, chaos druids, earth warriors and other seed-dropping monsters, as well as a rare reward from gambling in Barbarian Assault (high). They can also be obtained by pickpocketing Master farmers, as loot from Dragon Implings, and from Advisor Ghrim in Miscellania if your subjects are putting their efforts towards farming.

A Ranarr Seed can be obtained from the Vinesweeper minigame for 4000 points.
