Lumi,[1] Queen of Snow, who is sometimes referred to as Snowie, is an NPC who featured as part of the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Christmas events, and the 2011 Easter event. According to the 2011 Easter Event, she can only perceive winter, and she thinks that when the snow melts "The world is all full of nothing". She is the wife to Nick (also known as Santa Claus) and mother to Jack Frost. The Queen of Snow is also one of the few characters that free players can meet who worships the god Guthix. When she says expressions or quotes she sometimes mentions Guthix.
2007 Christmas event
She first appears in the 2007 Christmas Event, welcoming the player to the Land of Snow, explaining it and her race's history, and how she has been neglecting the tradition of bringing snowfall to Gielinor in recent years.
2008 Christmas event
She appears again at the 2008 Christmas event to save her husband Santa Claus, who was frozen by their son, Jack Frost. Jack tries to freeze all of Gielinor, leaving ice patches in Asgarnia and Misthalin. She was graphically updated in a similar fashion to humans after the HD Update.
2009 Christmas event
During the 2009 Christmas Event, she appears again in the land of snow with trouble. She had received another graphical update, making her face far fairer than last Christmas.
2011 Easter event
The Queen of snow serves as the opponent to the Queen of Sunrise in the quests Holly and Hawthorn and attempts to keep winter going as long as possible by hiding the True year. The player can make her give the year back by carving a statue in an ice block to help ease her transition to the Spring. Once again, she received another graphical update. This time, making her look far more powerful and regal. During this event, she also revealed that she could exist in two places at once as she is the embodiment of a season.
2013 Christmas event
The Queen of Snow and her son, Jack Frost, oversaw the Snowball arena that could be found in the south west corner of the Lumbridge crater. The Queen of Snow enchanted piles of snow with Christmas spirit, these snowballs could be thrown at players to gain "nice" points. Meanwhile, Jack Frost has turned some other piles into explosive snow, which can be thrown at players to gain "naughty points".
2014 Christmas event
During this event the Queen of Snow could be found south within the Lumbridge crater, next to the snowboarding ramp. She could assign players to hunt down four elemental spirits found at various locations across Gielinor and melt them down. She gave hints for their locations. The locations varied for every player. There were eight possible locations. After doing this task the player would rewarded a snowboard. This snowboard could be upgraded by right-clicking on the Queen of Snow and having the snowboard equipped to be teleported onto the gnome jumpship from which one could jump down and do tricks.
2015 Christmas event
During this event, she has gone missing along with Santa Claus and Jack Frost. With the aid of a snow imp, players attempt to find out what happened to them.
2016 Christmas event
During the 2016 Christmas event, the Queen of Snow reprised the same role she played in the 2007 event. Her scene can be played after talking to Santa Claus in Santa's Christmas neighbourhood.
2017 Christmas event
During the 2017 Christmas event, she is worried about Santa Claus' whereabouts. She asks the player to try and help to track him down. She suggests talking to Aubury, Doc, Orla Fairweather and afterwards Thurgo.
