Pyrefiends are Slayer monsters that require level 30 Slayer to kill. They are the weaker elemental cousin of the Waterfiend, but stronger than the Icefiend. Also, they have very similar drops to those of Lesser Demons and Harpie bug swarms.

[edit] Strengths and Weaknesses
The Pyrefiend's attack is a magic-based melee form that hits a maximum of 5 damage. This means that its accuracy is based on your magic defence, so it is highly recommended that you wear dragonhides or other Ranged armour so you take little damage from them. (Note that Protect from magic does not nullify its attack but Protect from melee does). It's also recommended that you either Melee or Range. The rocks on the western end of the room can be used to create safe spots.
Like most fire-based enemies, Pyrefiends are vulnerable to water-based spells.
