Purple dye is a dye made by combining blue dye and red dye. It is used in colouring capes and in some quests.
It respawns to the east of the battlefield, near the Spirit tree, south of East Ardougne. This item can also be bought at Lletya for 6 gp. In order to access this shop at Lletya, one must have at least started the Mourning's Ends Part I quest.
You gain 2.5 crafting experience if you use the dye on red or black capes.
