The Promethium platebody is a members-only platebody that can be worn only while in the dungeons of Daemonheim. It is created using the Smithing skill at level 99 using five promethium bars, giving 477.5 experience. It can also be found by killing a Forgotten warrior who is wearing full promethium or primal armour; these warriors are a combat level of 108 to 112. Level 90 Defence is required to wear it.

It is the second best platebody in Dungeoneering, after the Primal platebody obtained from Dreadnaut within the Warped Floors.

A Promethium platebody has far higher stab, slash and ranged defence bonuses than any surface armour. However, its crush defence bonus is noticeably poor, only 2 higher than a Torva platebody.
