Poison spiders can be found in many locations, including the Wilderness. They are rarely trained on as they have little to no drops. As their name suggests, they are poisonous. They can hit up to 7 damage with melee, and their poison starts at 6 damage per hit. Their poison can hit through the protect from melee prayer, also. They will, very rarely, drop a charm.
They are hated by many who train on the Black Demons in the Edgeville Dungeon, as they may attack while waiting for the Black Demons to respawn. They poison very quickly (usually in the 1st 2 attacks if the Protect from Melee Prayer isn't active), forcing either a anti-poison to be used, wasting an inventory slot which could have been used for prayer potions or food. If there is no anti-poison present in the players inventory, they either have to leave the dungeon or last it out, wasting more food.
