Pieces of eight are a type of currency which is exclusively for use when trading with Honest Jimmy at the Trouble Brewing activity. To get pieces of eight, players must participate in the Trouble Brewing activity. There is also a chance to receive pieces of eight from pirate implings. After completing a game, each player is awarded a variable amount of pieces depending on how much was accomplished by that player as well as whether their team won or lost. A player that has completed Rocking Out may also catch pirate implings for a meagre 1-5 pieces of eight.

Spending Pieces of EightEdit

Players must speak to Honest Jimmy in order to spend their pieces of eight. The items available are:

• Naval shirt (black, blue, grey, red, purple, green) - 100 pieces of eight
• Navy slacks (black, blue, grey, red, purple, green) - 100 pieces of eight
• Tricorn hat (black, blue, grey, red, purple, green) - 50 pieces of eight
• Cutthroat flag - 200 pieces of eight
• Guilded smile flag - 200 pieces of eight
• Bronze fist flag - 300 pieces of eight
• Lucky shot flag - 400 pieces of eight
• Treasure flag - 500 pieces of eight
• Phasmatys flag - 600 pieces of eight
• The stuff - 5 pieces of eight
• 'Rum' (red) - 2 pieces of eight
• 'Rum' (blue) - 2 pieces of eight
• Clue scroll (medium) - 5,000 pieces of eight (not shown in shop window).

TriviaEdit

• Pieces of eight is the informal name of a particular silver Spanish coin during the "golden age of piracy." It was worth eight royals. The coin was scored 4 times across its diameter and was easily broken along the score lines, making eight pieces; each one was "a piece of eight".
• Following a hidden update on 2 September 2009, the prices at Honest Jimmy's shop were reduced by 90%. Before this a Phasmatys flag sold for 6,000 pieces of eight.
