A Phoenix quill is the second ingredient in creating Phoenix pouches. The only known way to get these so far is by completing the quest In Pyre Need. After that, a player may challenge the Phoenix with level 51 Slayer each day for 5 more quills.
When these were originally released, the price on the Grand Exchange was set at 3,000 coins each. Today, they are tradeable at 3,980 coins. High level players will be able to make some money by killing the phoenix each day, if they choose to sell the quills. For a short time, the market price rose quickly and got up to as much as 10,000 coins but the price quickly fell.
