Diamond necklace detail

Phoenix necklaces are necklaces that automatically restore the wearer's life points by 30% of maximum if they drop below 20% of the maximum. They only have one use, after which they are destroyed.

Example: if a player with Constitution level 99 (990 maximum life points) gets hit for damage and thus gets their life points under 198 the necklace will heal that player 297 life points

If the Life points drops below 10% in one hit after being above 20%, and the player is also wearing the Ring of life, then the Phoenix necklace is activated first.

Members can make one by enchanting a diamond necklace with the Enchant Level 4 Jewellery spell. This requires level 57 Magic, 10 Earth runes, and 1 Cosmic rune and grants 67 experience.

In the Duelling Arena, the Phoenix Necklace is considered food. Therefore, it will produce no effect if the "No Food" option is toggled during a duel.

This is a very effective way to escape death caused by the massive amounts of damage inflicted by Dragon claws, because they hit in small amounts each time. This means that the necklace has an opportunity to heal the player and give him/her a chance to escape.

The phoenix necklace also nullifies any damage dealt to you, 1 game tick after it breaks, which means that combo attacks, like those of the Dark bow, Dragon claws or Dragon dagger only have their first hit registered, making you even more safe from these attacks. This, however, is likely just a bug issue with the necklace.

Trivia

  • Its examine text is a reference to many common fire alarm and extinguisher cases, which have instructions that read: "In case of emergency, break glass."
  • The name of the item comes from the tales about phoenixes. It's said that a phoenix can heal any injury or disease, even if the affected person is dead.
