Walkthrough

Start point	On the road south of Ice Mountain. Speak to the dwarf next to the broken cart.

Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. 1 Watering can (with water, magic watering can works as well, tool belt will not work) 1 Bucket of Compost (or Supercompost) 2 planks of the same type, any kind (Protean will not work) 2 nails of any metal
Recommended	Activated lodestone in Falador and Edgeville

Getting started

• Talk to Lakki the delivery dwarf who can be found to the east of the Invention Guild, north of Falador. ( 1•2•✓)…

  1	What's the matter?
  2	I could help you find the crate.
  ✓	[Accept Quest]

Delivery

• Along the path west are eight bushes you can search. Search them for a crate.
• Give the crate to Drorkar who is in the Power Station west of the Dwarven Mines. ( 1•2)…

  1	Yes.
  2	Okay.

• Head to the Edgeville Monastery, give the letter to Brother Bordiss in the garden. ( 1)…

  1	I have a letter for you.

• Talk to Brother Althric. ( 2•1)…

  2	Can I help?
  1	I'll go and get some compost.

• Use compost on the dying roses then water them. If your watering can is empty, you may use the well in the middle of the monastery to fill it up.

Ice Mountain

• Talk to Professor Arblenap (the gnome) half way up to the top of Ice Mountain. ( 1•2)…

  1	What are you doing?
  2	Can I help?

• Wield the icefiend net and catch the four baby icefiends.
• Talk to Arblenap.
• Talk to the Oracle, just north on the mountain. ( 1•1)…

  1	What happened to your tent?
  1	I could fix your tent for you.

• Take wrecked tent from the base of the mountain (near Black Knights' Fortress entrance).
• With the tent, two planks, and two nails, use the tent on the tent remains atop the mountain.
• Continue dialogue with the Oracle. ( 5)…

  5	I'm going to go and do something.

Finishing Up

• Talk to Drorkar at the Power Station. ( 1•4•4)…

  1	You've got to shut down this power station.
  4	The Oracle predicted it would cause the end of civilisation!
  4	I'll go and talk to Nurmof, then.

• Go in the Dwarven Mines and talk to Nurmof in the north-western corner of the mines, at the pickaxe shop. ( 4•1•3)…

  4	You've got to shut down the power station!
  1	What was this other power source?
  3	Goodbye.

• Talk to Brother Bordiss. ( 1)…

  1	Nurmof says you made plans for an alternative power station.

• Head back to Drorkar and pickpocket him for the Dwarven key.
• Head back down into the Dwarven Mines, then immediately east into a small alcove.
• Open the small, bright chest against the north wall.
• Talk to Nurmof. ( 4•1)…

  4	You've got to shut down the power station.
  1	I have the plans to the alternative power station here.

• Quest complete!

Rewards

• 1 quest point
• Knowledge of Ice Mountain, granting 500 experience in , , and
• Ability to smith pickaxes
• Permission to use the power station ladder (allows you to quickly access the mine carts and Nurmof)
• Brother Bordiss will attach sigils to blessed spirit shields for a price.
• 2 Treasure Hunter keys and 2 Hearts of Ice
