A Perfect black dragon scale is one of the scales of the four Chromatic dragons that Vannaka can ask you to fetch him, as part of his Slayer challenge. Black dragons and Baby black dragons can drop this scale, but only when the player has taken the challenge. The scale is not a guaranteed drop, so the player should be prepared to slay several dragons to obtain one. Multiple scales can be obtained, but all are consumed when the challenge is completed.
