Penance gloves are weight-reducing equipment and members-only armour. To wear Penance gloves, the player must have at least 40 Defence. These gloves can be obtained by exchanging 150 Honour Points of each type from the Barbarian Assault mini-game. They are notable because they have negative weight of 4.5 kilograms (kg) when worn. The weight reducing effect stacks with other such items as Boots of lightness, a Spotted cape, a Spottier cape, an Agile top, and Agile legs, making the maximum weight reduction possible -35kg with all but the spotted cape of the previous items equipped. (Because you cant wear two capes) You can only own one pair of this item and will not be allowed to buy a second.
The Penance gloves are not kept under your Gravestone if you happen to die, so you cannot get them back for free if they are lost.
