The Oak shieldbow is the second weakest shieldbow in RuneScape. The oak shieldbow requires a Ranged and Defence level of 10 or higher to wield. Players can purchase this bow from various shops that sell Ranged equipment.
Members can make an oak shieldbow through the Fletching skill at level 25. First, a player must cut an unstrung oak shieldbow from oak logs, granting 25 Fletching experience. Then, the player must string the unstrung oak shieldbow with a bow string, granting 25 experience. For money-making purposes, selling the bow string and the unstrung oak shieldbow separately in the Grand Exchange would give more profit, but the unstrung bows are not likely to sell.
Like all shieldbows and unlike most other weapons, it incorporates a shield inseparably despite nothing resembling a shield being involved in its creation. Therefore, it provides armour and life point bonuses, and counts as a shield for Defenceabilities, such as Rejuvenate. The attack range of the oak shieldbow is 8 spaces.
