The novite hatchet is a Tier 1 hatchet, found in Daemonheim. It requires level 1 Attack to wield, and level 1 Woodcutting to chop the various trees in Daemonheim, or to clear the Woodcutting doors.

It can be made from one Novite bar, requiring level 2 Smithing and giving 11 experience. It is also possible drop from the Bulwark Beast.

This is the weakest hatchet available. However, since it can be easily purchased from Smuggler, it was common to see players purchase this item at the start of a dungeon.

This, along with the novite pickaxe, is among the default equipment found on all Dungeoneering toolbelts.
