The Muspah tail is a quest item given to the player by Jhallan, a Zarosian Mahjarrat, as a trophy for the young Fremennik boy Erjolf during The Tale of the Muspah. The tail is a false trophy given to Erjolf to show to the Council Members of Rellekka in order to impress them into letting him pass his Trials of Manhood. It is not a real Muspah tail, as the Muspah is a mythical creature, and Jhallan used a great deal of his already waning energy to create it for the player.
