Notable features Listening to their music restores run energy and hitpoints at a faster rate.
A lonely musician plays her beautiful Crystal Ocarina amongst the Isafdarian landscape.

Musicians (also known as buskers or bards) are NPCs who play music all across Gielinor. You can listen to their music by right-clicking on them and choosing "listen-to" or by resting within 3 squares of the musician. While you listen to their music, your run energy and hitpoints restore quickly. For example, with 75 agility it takes only 18 seconds to restore run energy from 0 to 100. The hitpoints restore rate is 3 times the regular, as said by the musicians. Different musicians have different instruments, with which they play different music. Those who play the lute play a rendition of Harmony. Violinists play a rendition of Spirit. The lyre players in the Fremennik realm play a rendition of Rellekka. Flute Players in the Desert play a rendition of Arabian. The Elf Musician plays a rendition of Forest.

[edit] Trivia

  • On the day of release, the female musician near Shantay Pass's examine text read "He plays charming music."
  • Bill Blakey, the Musician in Mort Myre swamp, is a reference to English Poet William Blake.
  • The musician near the gem shop in Al Kharid is a snake charmer.
  • The lute players play a rendition of Harmony. The drunken musician in the wilderness plays the same song, but very badly.
  • The violinist north of the Al-Kharid mine (with the red hood) does not have a chat head in Standard Detail.
  • The musicians say they were told of the medicinal qualities of music by a "travelling medical practitioner, selling oil extracted from snakes". This is a reference to a snake oil salesman, a medical con-man.
  • If you go upstairs and look down upon a musician they are not there but the musical notes are. This is because NPCs cannot be seen from floors the player is not on, however certain effects can.
  • If you right click near a Music Appreciator's head, in some places, there is an examine option for an NPC called "Invisible".
  • The examine text "Fiddle de dee" is a refrence to Lazy town - You Are a Pirate.
  • The Isafdarian Musician could possibly be a reference to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as she vaguely resembles the players friend and is playing an ocarina. She is also sitting on a tree stump, just like the aforementioned character.
