Morchella mushroom5

The mushroom patches are two farming patches, one west of Canifis and the other in Isafdar.

Locations

Mushroom Patch - Canifis

The mushroom patch west of Canifis.

Trevelian location

The mushroom patch in Isafdar.

The Canifis patch is near the entrance to the Mort Myre swamp, ghouls and the Paterdomus temple on the River Salve. The patch is next to a fairy ring with location CKS. The Kharyrll Teleport destination is also close by.

The Isafdar patch is located south-west of the Tirannwn lodestone. Completion of the medium Tirannwn tasks is required to use the patch in Isafdar. From the lodestone go west through the dense forest and then south.

Mushrooms

Players can use these patches to grow bittercap mushrooms with level 53 Farming or morchella mushrooms with 74 Farming from their respective spores. When grown, bittercap mushroom spore produces exactly six mushrooms and morchella mushroom spore produces nine mushrooms. Like any other farming patches, members may use a rake on the patch to gain up to three weeds and up to 12 Farming experience.

Protection and doubling harvest

The patches cannot be protected by farmers, although completing the medium Morytania Tasks will permanently immunise the Canifis patch against disease by Lyra. Completion of the elite Morytania Tasks yields a doubled amount of mushrooms (18) when the Canifis mushroom patch is farmed. A doubled amount of mushrooms (12) can also be farmed from the Isafdar mushroom patch.

Farming tools and leprechauns

The minimum tools needed to plant in this patch are a rake to clear the weeds (though not once the No weeds option is enabled, after Fairytale III - Orks Rift ), a seed dibber to plant the spores, and a spade to harvest the mushrooms which can all be placed in the toolbelt. Compost or supercompost may also be used to increase the probability of a successful harvest. The nearby Tool Leprechaun in Canifis and Trevelian in Isafdar can store all these items.

Trivia

  • Some farmers plan their farming circuit to farm at Port Phasmatys, then run south with a dramen staff or lunar staff to the fairy ring, and return to CKS to harvest and replant the Canifis patch.
