The mouse toy is a fun weapon gained from Bob the Cat after completion of the quest A Tail of Two Cats. The attack animation is similar to the abyssal whip's, and many low-levelled players wield this to trick others into thinking that they have an abyssal whip (this was later fixed after a graphical update to the game). It also makes a noise similar to the abyssal whip when it hits an enemy merged with the noise of a rubber chicken "whacking" someone. While operating and frequently while wielding it, you can entertain your cat with it. It only works if your cat is out, however. This item is not commonly seen, as its damage and accuracy bonuses are noticeably poor. However, it is often used in fun weapon duels at the Duel Arena.

TriviaEdit

  • There was a glitch where, if you finished the quest Ritual of the Mahjarrat, you were not able to re-obtain the mouse toy from Bob, due to the talk option to retrieve it was accidentally removed or replaced with a talk option about the quest itself.
  • When using the mouse toy during combat, it yields a 1+ combat experience bonus. However, due to the inferior Attack and Strength bonuses, it is rarely used in combat.
  • When using the mouse toy and then consecutively wielding a weapon, your character will wave whatever it has in its hands at the cat. This is very similar to the glitch discovered to be associated with the candy cane.
