The Motherland is the ancestral homeland of the sentient penguins led by their emperor The Pescallion. Its greatest city is known as Palingrad. At this time, it is inaccessible.
Little is known of the Motherland. It is known to be somewhere north of the Fremennik Province, perhaps somewhere in the largely unexplored Lunar Sea. In the quest Hunt for the Red Raktuber, Larry is taken to the motherland by the penguins.
