Money making guide/Miscellaneous (P2P)
From the RuneScape Wiki, the wiki for all things RuneScape
NOTE: Due to the fluctuating prices in the Grand Exchange, the hourly profit may differ from time to time. Please research the prices of what you are collecting before hand to make sure you are getting the profit you want.
[edit] Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup
Rating: *****
This is a fairly easy way to earn a decent amount of cash (up to 275k or more per hour) with very low requirements and minimal dangers.
Requirements: Must have completed the Jungle potion quest.
The items that are needed are
- Any kind of machete
- food (not necessary but highly recommended)
- antipoison (3 vials per trip, 7 or more if you want to kill the green broodoo victim
- Relicym's balm (only if you want to kill the yellow broodoo victim)
- A good weapon (preferably dragon or better, a godsword works great)
- A pickaxe
- A spade.
- Go to the Tai Bwo Wannai village, and talk to Murcaily by the hard wood grove. He will then tell you that in order to help out, you must help rebuild and reinforce the village fence by cutting the jungle. In return you will gain favour, which may be exchanged with villagers for trading sticks. You don't need to worry about trading sticks or favour that much, since you are here just for the drops. If you would like to exchange favour for trading sticks, they can be used to bank with Rionasta at a cost of ten trading sticks per item, saving a trip to the bank.
- After you have talked with Murcaily, start by chopping any of the light, medium, or dense jungle around the village. Eventually, either a tribesman, jungle spider, swarm of mosquitoes, a bush snake, or broodoo victim will come out. The tribesman doesn't drop anything good, so just kill him, and if he does any damage on you, drink some of your antipoison. If a swarm of mosquitoes comes out, kill them and pick up the proboscis. These are worth decent amounts of money, and will sell for around 4,060 coins on the Grand Exchange.
- If a bush snake comes out, kill it, and if it damages you then drink some antipoison. Pick up the snake hide it drops. These will sell for about 3,217 on the Grand Exchange. Also, pick up spider carcasses from , which are fairly good money (worth 1,154 coins. If a broodoo victim comes out, you can fight it using normal methods, or you can use antipoison on it if it is a green victim, Relicym's balm on it if it is a yellow victim, and food on it if it is a brown victim. These will deal fairly high amounts of damage on them and kill them easily. On rare occasions, you will find a gout plant after you completely chop down a jungle plant in which case you should stand on top of it and dig with your spade. You will dig up a gout tuber, which sells for 129,400 coins on the grand exchange. Please note that chances of finding these are rare.
- Once you have a full inventory of proboscis's, snake hides, spider carcasses, broodoo masks, and gout tubers, walk to Brimhaven, and take the boat to Ardougne. Go to the nearest bank, and bank your drops, and get more antiposion and food if you need to. Another option is to use Rionasta's parcel service at a cost of ten trading sticks per item, saving the walk to Brimhaven.
- This can give around 40,000 - 70,000 coins per trip, and just a few people know this method but it is a great method of making money.
[edit] Selling Herbs
'Rating: '*****
- This is an easy way to make money with only some combat requirements. Killing Chaos Druids (level 13) could be a alternative to Flesh crawlers. They mainly use weak magic but be sure to bring efficient armour, and fast weapon. The Chaos Druids are located at Edgeville Dungeon wilderness area near the thugs, you can also kill outlaws ( level 32) beside the grand exchange defence of 50 required for no food usage, you can make 20-40k per inventory from there herbs. You can make easy trips to the Grand Exchange and back via the north-west wall tunnel at the exchange. This is a easy way of money making at combat 30 or above.
- (summoning a Macaw will most likely increase your chances of getting good herb drops - 41 Summoning required)
These are the herbs you take:
- Grimy Ranarr:10921 coins
- Grimy Kwuarm: 6136 coins
- Grimy Dwarf Weed: 8197 coins
- Grimy Lantadyme: 6186 coins
- Grimy Irit: 4716 coins
- Grimy Avantoe: 2838 coins
- Grimy Cadantine: 3329 coins
- Be sure not to clean these herbs as they will sell slow at the Grand Exchange and for a lower price. If you sell at a minimum price, the Herbs will sell easier. One full inventory will earn you about 30,000 coins-120,000 coins (depends upon what herbs you find). The higher the combat level you are, the longer you can stay, thus enabling you to have a higher chance of collecting rarer herbs as a drop. A ring of wealth could also prove helpful there.
[edit] Dragon Bones and Hide
'Rating: '*****
Chaos Tunnels Way
- Members with a good combat level (At least 70 ), good armour, and a good weapon can access the Chaos Tunnels or head East of Clan Wars to kill Green dragons. Don't forget an Anti-dragon shield or a Dragonfire shield,as they are strongly recommended. The entrance closest to the Green Dragons is right behind the Grand Exchange. Head under the tunnel north-west of the Grand Exchange (21 Agility needed) and walk north-east until you find a rift (entrance 3 to chaos tunnel). Once inside, run to the south-east portal and you should be teleported into a area full of green dragons and baby black dragon. Start attacking the green dragons. The baby black dragons may interfere with your combat but you can run behind the Green Dragon you are killing and then it should prevent the baby black dragons from attacking you. Alternatively, you can simpy use Edgeville bank and use an amulet of glory to teleport back to the bank. Use of familiars (specifically beasts of burden) are highly recommended here. This method can make around 250,000-350,000 coins an hour dependent upon your combat skills.
East of Clan Wars Way
- Members should have or equip a games necklace and teleport to Clan wars. Once done, run east of the area until there are a big crowd of dragons. From here, kill as many until your inventory is full with dragon bones, green dragonhide, or other valuable items. Once done, teleport back to the Bounty Hunter area and bank. Repeat if necessary. Beware of any revenants patrolling the area as they are powerful monsters. This method can make around 250,000-400,000 coins an hour.
[edit] Spinning Flax to Bowstrings
Rating: *****
- Members with a crafting level of 10 can spin flax into bowstrings at Camelot, Falador, Lumbridge, and Neitiznot (Near Banks). Lumbridge is the quickest area to spin flax and bank, assuming you use all the shortcuts (holding right-click on "Climb-Up Stairs" just as the last piece of flax finishes, rotating your camera to get the "Quick-Bank" option very shortly after ascending the stairs). This method will grant you roughly 100k an hour long term.
- To start, teleport to the area you have chosen, take your flax, then simply click on the wheel and select the appropriate amount of flax to spin. Spin the flax into bowstrings and sell them on the Grand Exchange for 166 coins each; almost doubling the amount of money you started with.
- Alternatively you can pick your own flax from the flax field in Seer's Village and spin the flax in the spinning wheel located north west of the flax field. With this method you can make potentially make 5.3k per inventory at 166 coins each. The plucking itself gives you about 70k per hour long term.
The following is much better: Use the flax gathered by your subjects from Miscellania. With 10 workers and a 100% approval rating, you will receive 1250 flax per day. If you spin them all and sell them on the Grand Exchange for 166 coins each; you will receive around 230k. Remember that you must pay your subjects daily. For an explanation of how this works, please refer to the Notable features of this guide. If you are a low level player it is neccesary to have good prayer
[edit] Plank Making
Rating: *****
- This method works for regular logs, oak logs, teak logs and mahogany logs. Players may either cut these logs themselves or buy them. Using the chart below, take the required amount of money and logs to the sawmill operator, and get them converted into planks. It is advised to bank the planks in the east Varrock bank, then run back with the correct materials again and repeat the process. Once done, players can sell the planks at the Grand Exchange. Note that players will make much more money by cutting the logs themselves, rather than buying them.
- The following table shows the price for the logs, cost to make them, the price for the planks and the profit/loss.
[edit] Soda Ash
Rating: *****
- Members can collect or buy Seaweed and burn it into Soda ash for a profit. Buying Seaweed off the Cooking Guild and making Soda ash can turn a profit of over 150,000 coins per hour with no required skills. To maximise profits, a player should buy a large amount of seaweed all at once and then make Soda ash at a bank that is very near to a Fire or a Range. Some good places to do this are East Varrock range, Zanaris, the Rogue's Den fire, or the range in the cooking guild.
- Alternatively, players with little money to start up can collect seaweed from any of the locations listed here.
[edit] Swamp Toads
Rating: *****
- Members can access Tree Gnome Stronghold, or the Lumbridge Swamp for quick money. West of the Grand Tree, there is a small swamp. In the swamp, there are swamp toads. Collect as many as you like then head to the Grand Tree to bank. Players should avoid wearing any equipment that increases their weight, as there is no need to. This can make over 12,000 (updated 2009-2010)coins a trip. This method will grant you roughly 100,000 coins an hour long term.
[edit] Glass Vials
Rating: *****
- Members with little money can easily make 200,000 Coins or more per hour from "vial-merchanting". Teleport to East Ardougne and go to the General store and buy a full inventory of Vial of water. Bank and repeat. Then sell the vials at the Grand Exchange. They should sell fast on the Grand Exchange, therefore, you don't need to wait very long.
- you can now buy sets of 50 its a lot faster
- Another option is to buy vials from some stores and filling them with water. Banks with fountains near them (e.g. Camelot) are especially helpful. Just use one vial on a fountain, and it'll fill every vial. Bank the vials, withdraw 28 more, and repeat. This way, you can earn even more money. The lunar spell, humidify is an even faster method for filling vials.
- However, if you have done the Enlightened Journey quest, you have access to the balloon transport system. You can buy ring of duelling and regular logs. Once you have these, teleport to the castle wars arena. Once there, withdraw a few energy pots, one normal log and your ring of duelling. Run out to the balloon and travel to Taverley. Once there run to the herblore shop and buy as many vials as you can. There is also a fountain near that place making it easier to fill the vials. Once you have a full inventory, use your Ring of duelling to teleport back to Castle Wars. Bank, and repeat.
- Possibly the best (and cheapest) method is buying filled vials from Sigmund the Merchant in Relekka and then using Peer the Seer close by to deposit the vials into your bank. The vials cost 10gp each and sell for around 98-103gp making about 2000gp profit per trip. To utilize this method, a player must have Fremennik Sea Boots 1 equipped, money in their inventory and anything to reduce weight such as penance gloves or spotted cape. If a player has NOT completed The Fremennik Trials, the Fremennik Sea Boots 1 don't need to be equipped.
- Shilo Village personalized general store stocks 1000 vials of water and 1000 vials (without water). Simply buy, bank and repeat until you have depleted the stock. Just under 200k profit.
[edit] Unicorn Horns
Rating: *****
- You can collect unicorn horns which sell in Grand Exchange for 1,522coins.Unicorns can be found in Catherby, south of Varrock East Bank, on the edge of lumbridge swamp, and above the Barbarian Village. These unicorns are level 15, and there are only two (2) unicorns per location, therefore many players prefer killing the black unicorns in the Wilderness. Black Unicorns are level 27, and therefore are stronger than white unicorns. Don't waste time killing the black unicorn foal as they do not drop horns. Other drops from black unicorns include charms, coins, and bones.
[edit] Spider Carcasses
Rating: *****
- Jungle Spiders drop Spider Carcasses, which can be sold on the Grand Exchange for 1,154coins.
A player can simply gather the carcasses in his or her inventory after killing the spiders, drop them off at the bank, and repeat the process. By far the closest spiders to a bank are the ones right next to the eastern part of Shilo Village. Another great way is to pay the fare for a cart ride from Vigroy to Brimhaven, kill the spiders, and then when inventory is full, ride with Hajedy back to Shilo Village. The fare is 10gp. The spiders east of Yanille are also a good option. Items can be banked from Tai Bwo Wannai by using Trading sticks with Rionasta to ship items for you.
- If a player has completed A Fairy Tale Part 1 and started A Fairy Tale Part 2, then they may use fairy ring code CLS to teleport to Hazelmere's house and kill jungle spiders there.
[edit] Snape grass
Rating: *****
- An easy method to earn money is by gathering Snape grass. Just west of the Crafting Guild is a small peninsula, Hobgoblin Peninsula, that has a small collection of hobgoblins and a snape grass respawn point. The closest bank is the eastern Falador bank. Start there with an empty inventory and armour if needed. Make your way to the peninsula and collect a full inventory of snape grass. Make your way back to the bank and repeat this process until satisfied. Once you have had enough, the snape grass can be sold in the Grand Exchange for 488 coins each. If you cannot survive an attack from a Hobgoblin, this method is not recommended.
- There is another respawn point on Waterbirth Island with six snape grass respawns. The nearest bank is on Jatizso just simply ride the boat there (after The Fremennik Trials and starting The Fremennik Isles). Also, if you have completed the Fremennik Trials, you can do the easy Achievement Diary there. This will get you Fremennik Sea Boots 1, which allows you to deposit your items to Peer the Seer. The sea boots can make this method much faster.
- If you are a member and choose the hobgoblin peninsula method, there are two things you should know. If you have the Agility level of 26 or higher, there is a short cut in the Falador wall just south of the gem shop. This means that the closest bank is now the western Falador bank. If you have the ability to summon a beast of burden (Level 25 Summoning - Spirit kalphite, Level 40 - Bull ant, Level 52 - Spirit terrorbird, Level 67 - War tortoise, Level 96 - Pack yak), you can bring them along to help by adding more inventory slots.
- Alternatively, members who have completed lunar diplomacy and have at least 72 magic can teleport to Waterbirth Island, collect the snape grass, then teleport to moonclan to bank, making about 250k/hr if selling on the GE.
- Disadvantage - Teleport requires Astral Runes, which take a while to purchase on the G.E. Recommended: purchase runes prior.
- If you have an Explorer's Ring, you can cut the travel time to and from the eastern Falador bank by half. Just teleport from the Snape Grass Peninsula to the Cabbage Patch, then run to the bank. After banking, teleport to the Cabbage Patch again, then run to the peninsula.
[edit] Sinew making
Rating: *****
- To make sinew simply choose "make sinew" when using raw beef on a range/fire. The sinew sell for 207 coins each on the Grand Exchange. There are three ways of getting beef (listed below). After you get the beef and bank it, find a range or light a fire near a bank, and then use the beef with the range/fire.
Note: Making sinews presents a small chance of burning the beef.
[edit] Ways of getting beef
Cheap/Efficient way:
- This method is very simple but requires an area to be unlocked. Its profit is only 8 coins less then the "long way" (below):
- To use this method first you must have access to Canifis or Chargurr (Chargurr is located in the city of Oo'glog). Buy beef from any of these two locations for only 8gp and then bank it. This will result of a profit of about 152 coins.
Long way: This method makes the largest profit but takes A LOT of time: Just kill cows and bank their beef. The recommended place is the "Lumbridge gnomecopter cow field" because there is a deposit box in the gnome copter area. (This area has many trees and oaks so you could bring and axe and tinderbox and make sinew on the spot and then deposit it. This method will make a profit of 207 coins per sinew (not including expense on weapons and/or axe and tinder box)
NOTE: This method only makes the "largest profit" in the sense that there is no initial investment or purchasing - if you use one of the first two methods you will most likely earn much more per hour because you obtain the beef much faster.
[edit] Grey Wolf Fur
'Rating: '*****
- A player can buy the grey wolf fur on the grand exchange for-39gp each, then sell to Baraek the player makes almost double profit. If the player wears the Ring of Charos (a) player will get more than double player's money intake as player's profit. To efficiently use this method, it would be best to use Varrock east bank, and to wield the best weight-reducing items the player can wield, such as Boots of Lightness, Spotted Cape, orSpottier Cape. Another way to get it is to steal it from Ardougne Market at the Fur stall which requires level 35 Thieving, This gives 36 experience.
[edit] Desert Goat Horns
Rating: *****
50+ combat recommended.
- Keep in your inventory: 2-3 waterskins(4), a mortar and pestle, as well as a few trout. Wear desert robes (if your combat level is high enough) to reduce the effects of the desert heat, otherwise wear standard melee or ranging gear. It helps if you have 2-3 buckets of water in your bank for every inventory of 27 Desert Goat Horns that you plan to collect, as the desert heat will use up that much water each time. Enchanted Water Tiara recommended.
- Take Ali's Desert Carpets from Shanty Pass to Pollnivneach. Run to the south end of Pollnivneach, get another carpet to Nardah (the carpets should cost from 150-400 gp total). Run south to Nardah bank. Just west of the bank are 5 roaming Desert Goats, which drop Desert Goat Horns 100% of the time. Get a full load and bank just to your east.
- Desert Goat Horns are a popular "Second" ingredient in Herblore, and sell for approximately 600-700 each. If you use the pestle and mortar mentioned above, Ground Desert Goat Horns sell for 700-800 each. You can usually "Grind All" on your way from the goats' location to the bank. Up to 100,000 coins can be made in one hour.
[edit] White gloves
Rating: *****
- First the player must have reached the adept ranking in order for this to work. Boots of lightness, spotted or spottier cape, high agility level, and penance gloves are highly recommended. This method may seem long and slow, but it is very rewarding at the end. Talk to Sir Vyvin in the white knights castle. Now buy as many gloves as you can for 6 coins each, once you're done deposit the gloves into the bank and withdraw 168 coins. After you have as many gloves as you want, sell them in the Grand Exchange for 206gp. With 168 coins the player can buy a full inventory of 28 gloves which allows for more profit. An inventory of 28 gloves sold for 206 coins in the Grand Exchange will profit the player with 5,768 coins.
[edit] White berries
Rating: *****
- This way can be dangerous, so if you are taking any items you are not prepared to lose, bank them. It is recommended that you use a games necklace and an anti-dragonfire shield. First, go to the Wilderness Volcano, bank everything and clear your inventory. Then head to the red dragon isle. When you get to the gate, go south. Here you will see white berries on the ground. Pick the berries (they respawn every 5–6 seconds). When you get a full inventory, enter a cave west of the chaos dwarf camp and teleport to Bounty Hunter. If you do not have one, you will have to walk back the way you came. Bank the white berries at Bounty Hunter and repeat as many times as desired. Each inventory full is about 20,000gp to 24,565.Each trip is about from 5 to 8 minutes. It takes 5 trips to get about 110k. Another respawn of white berries is located west of Lletya.
Tips: You can use a beast of burden familiar to increase your profit.
[edit] Climbing boots
Rating: *****
- This is a very efficient but tedious way of making money. The player goes to Tenzing and repeatedly asks for climbing boots. Each pair of climbing boots costs the player 12 coins, so an effective thing to do is take 336 coins with nothing else in your inventory. When the player has a full inventory of climbing boots, he/she can use a combat bracelet to teleport to the Warriors' Guild to bank or he/she can use a games necklace to teleport to the Burthorpe Games Room and then run to the Rogue's Den minigame to bank. This method requires the player to have completed Death Plateau up to the point where the player can buy Climbing boots, as well as have the required stats to enter the Warriors' Guild if they want to bank there(faster than banking at Rogue's Den) OR you can just use duel ring to teleport to Castle Wars and bank and teleport with games necklace to repeat the process. Climbing boots sell for over 1000 coins on the Grand Exchange, therefore a full inventory(28) makes about 28,000 coins. It only takes 2-3 minutes to get the 28 boots, bank them, and return to Tenzing (while wearing boots of lightness and spotted cape). That means that the player can make about 300,000 coins in an hour. It gets tedious going through the same conversation with Tenzing 28 times (although it only takes 2–3 minutes) to get to full inventory and this method doesn't offer any experience in any skill. If you are experiences in this method you can get 1k boots in around 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
[edit] Culinaromancer's Chest
Rating: i myself have tried this and give it a 4 out of 5 due to walking/spending money on teleports to varrock
- This is a very good way of making money, as it requires no running or fighting and it also gives good profits, All that must be done it to buy food items such as cheese, cooking apple, chocolate and also the grapes. Then go to the grand exchange and sell. All that must be done is part of the Recipe For Disaster quest (all of the quest would be better as it gives more food items to buy). This can give profits of up to around 100k to 230k an hour.
- you may also want to wait a while by the culnaromancers chest for the items to spawn if not you could go out and mine but try and get as much as possible when you buy for selling in bulk allways helps
[edit] Aviansies
Rating: *****
NOTE: Players using protection prayer should use a Saradomin Mitre or Zamorak Mitre while wearing an Armadyl pendant,Monk's robe (top), Black D'hide Chaps, Climbing Boots, and Ava's accumulator. Completing As a First Resort... will unlock the Bandos Pool that stops Bandos followers in the God Wars Dungeon attacking you.
- Aviansies are an excellent way of making money. 75+ range and 65+ def or 40+ prayer is recommended as the Aviansies cannot be fought in melee, not even with an Ivandis Flail or a halberd. Ranged is recommended as magic is not very cost effective.
- The prayer option's main set up is mithril bolts or broad-tipped bolts(55 slayer required) and rune c'bow, black d'hide vambs, zamorak or saradomin book opposite of mitre god, and ring of wealth, Armadyl pendant using the protect from range prayer needing prayer pots or super restores. Note: Using this set up minimises profit, as Super restore potion and Prayer potion cost a fair amount of money, and if you wish to repeat runs, this will cost you a LOT of money. Unless you gather all the resources yourself, this lowers profit gained at Aviansies. However you can stay quite a long time using this, but for longer using bones to peaches.
- Higher defence players should use the tank method to kill them. Torag's helm, Torag's platelegs, saradomin or zamorak d'hide body, opposite god for the vambraces to the d'hide body saradomin or zamorak and granite shield or obby shield. Their drops are very good with 4 noted adamantite bars which are 3,046 per bar and also runite limbs and rune daggers (p+) the limbs and dagger should be alched. Bones to peaches and sharks are recommended. It is recommended that the player pick up the feathers if they are capable of fletching adamant bolts, as the bars and feathers allow you to earn back lost bolts. They also drop level 3 Clue scrolls.
- A more expensive yet more efficient setup is using a dragonfire shield, armadyl helmet, dragon platelegs, amulet of fury, Saradomin/Zamorak d'hide, Saradomin/Zamorak bracers, bandos/ranger boots. This setup allows the player to stay there as long as they want, with respect to the amount of bolts and bones to peaches tablets they bring, due to the non-degrading armour. Substitutes, such as dragon plateskirt, amulet of glory, and granite shield, work well for those with a smaller amount of coins
These methods will garner around 250k-400k coins every hour.
Note: If you do not wear the armour of a specific follower you will be piled by those followers, if it's your first time at Aviansies you must bring a rope to descend into the God Wars Dungeon.
[edit] Ankous
'Rating: '*****
- Ankous' combat level are 86 (two varients with different combat levels exist) and are located in the 4th/bottom level of the Stronghold of Security.
Most people that do this are level 85+ combat. Barrows armour and/or food is recommended. These are good experience and have very good drops: Mithril ore, battlestaves, death runes, blood runes, pure essence, level 3 clue scrolls etc. There are multiple rooms of ankou, along with some halberd- and range-friendly safe spots. It is possible to make 134-160k a trip. A salve amulet or salve amulet(e) is quite helpful here. It is advised to bring stackable food, such as bones to peaches tablets or casts (if you've purchased it from the Mage Training Arena), so that the player can get more runes, and make less trips.
[edit] Snake Skins
Rating: *****
- Must have finished Cabin Fever and have a decent weapon and armour. Travel to Mos Le'Harmless. Bank everything except 1 piece of food, (preferably lobster+) and go to the east end of the island, just north of Trouble Brewing. Kill the snakes there for their hides. Then bank them in the deposit box at Trouble Brewing. Repeat as long as necessary. Hides sell for around 2,543k each in the Grand Exchange. That's around 66k per load (with 26) if you bring anti poison potions. Note: the snakes are poisonous, so it is a good idea to bring 1-3 anti poison potions. Also to cut down on time, play Trouble Brewing for awhile to rack up Pieces of Eight to be spent on rum, which gives you an instant teleport back to the snakes. Watch out for jungle horrors, as they follow you around and often make snake killing a rather tedious business.
[edit] Wolf Bones
Rating: *****
- Should have a weapon and armour. Travel to Stronghold of Security. Head down two doors south and two doors east of the entrance. There will be some level eleven Wolves. Kill them to get wolf bones and collect them. A full inventory of wolf bones is around 12,000 coins per trip. So that means that players make about 1,000,000 coins in about 84 trips.
[edit] Blue Dragon Scales
Rating: *****
- Blue dragon scales respawn in Taverley Dungeon. You don't need to kill any dragons as there about 5 respawn points near the blue dragons in Taverley dungeon. In your inventory, you should have as many Falador teleport tabs needed (1 for each trip, 8 for 100k) and a Dusty Key. (Or bring the runes needed, if you equip an air staff the profit lost from having one less inventory space is still less than the cost of the tab.) To make 18.6k a trip using this method follow these steps:
1.Teleport to Falador. 2.Once in Falador, walk to Taverley dungeon. This can be done using the shortcut to climb the wall behind the bank , or just following the path. 3.Once in Taverley dungeon, walk or run to the blue dragon room, or use the level 70 agility shortcut to go right to the room (this helps, but is not needed). 4.Once in the blue dragon room, pick up all the dragon scales until your inventory is full, and teleport to Falador, bank the scales. 5.Repeat steps 2-4
This is a good way to make money for low-mid level players, but be sure to bring an anti-dragon shield in case of attacks from a blue dragon
[edit] Clue Scrolls
Rating: *****
- Treasure Trails can be immensely challenging and may offer hours of fun;however, some Treasure Trails may contain disappointing rewards that are often not worth your time. Clue scrolls are obtained from various monsters found within RuneScape, and the minigame that embarks is called a Treasure Trail.
- There are three types of clue scroll levels in RuneScape:
Level 1 Clue - Usually dropped by lower levelled monsters ranging anywhere from level 1 all the way to level 40!
Level 2 Clue - Dropped by mid-level monsters/NPCs, usually from levels 45-80
Level 3 Clue - The hardest and toughest clue of all, yet can be handsomely rewarding, this clue is frequently found by monsters from levels 80 all the way to the 300s! Due to the difficult and risky nature of some clues, it is recommended to bank your most precious possessions, take some teleportation runes and teleportation jewellery with you, such as perhaps a Games necklace or Ring of duelling, and make sure you have a Sextant, Watch, and a Chart in your inventory, along with the clue scroll and of course, a spade!
If you find that the clue you are working upon is too arduous, you may of course feel free to contact others within RuneScape's forums or other forums of varying natures.
[edit] Potato Cactus
Rating: *****
You will need:
- A rope
- A teleport to leave such as a ring of duelling or glory amulet.
- Like 2 Anti-poison potion or 1 Super antipoison (the Kalphite Soldiers (lvl 85) are poisonous)
- Food
- Shantay Pass from Shantay for 5 coins or pay 100 coins to bribe the guard
- WaterSkin(4) (so you don't die in the desert)
- Beast of Burden scroll if you can use them
- Go to Al Kharid to Shantay Pass (entrance to the desert). Make sure you have your items equipped and enter the desert head right till you see what looks like a water well that is white and round with a hole in the center (watch for the shortcut icon on the world map view). Use your rope on it (if one isn't already attached) and then climb down. Drop your waterskin (and rope if you still have one) and buy a new ones if you are making multiple trips (the value of one more potato cactus is far more than the cost to buy another waterskin and/or rope). Go through the tunnel until you see the room with the Summoning Obelisk just outside. There are three Potato cactus respawns in the south-west part this room, which also contains Kalphite Soldiers. The potato cactus may be sold for 2,924 coins each at the Grand Exchange, which is 73,100 coins per trip (assuming 25 per trip with 3 inventory spaces used for potions and food)! Using Beast of Burden scrolls makes the trips much more profitable. You can recharge your Summoning points just outside of this room.
